A mid size museum , split into two floors, in Kitte building, which is next door to the Tokyo JR Station. I spent about one hour in the museum but still failed to figure out the theme of the museum. It looks like a curiosity...More

It doesn't overwhelm you with volume, but it's big enough that an hour doesn't do it justice. You know it's pretty good when even someone who doesn't like museums said they liked it. Best of all it's free. No photos though, so minus one star...More

i m not sure why in Tripadv, the venue is called a Jp tower? (it was a former tower for Japan Post office) This mini museum (in fact not quite mini, if compared to some others) opened in 2013 inside the KiTTE complex right by...More

Just across the road from Tokyo Station is where you'll find the Intermediatheque Museum in the JP Tower on the 4th floor if I remember. It's completely free to visit and it has fascinating collection of stuffed animals/birds, bones and other wonderful stuff to enjoy....More

This is an unusual museum in many ways. It is in the middle of the commercial distribution of Tokyo and next to the Tokyo station, boasts outstanding decor and yet is free (probably because it is based on the collections of the the venerable Tokyo...More

This is a pretty unique way to spend a few hours in Tokyo - it's also one of the best small museums I've ever been too. The variety and quality of articles on display is staggering, and the descriptions (also in English) are great, adding...More

My favourite museum in Tokyo. Beautiful collection of some quite random antiquities. Science, nature, anthropology and lots more. Lots of great skeletons. Quiet and spacious too.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
