There are lots of dinosaur skeletons and an animatronic display as well. Exhibits are well laid out and most have English labels.
The non-dinosaur parts of the museum were tucked away and small in comparison, but there were some interesting displays.
More than we expected. A short train ride from the Kokura Station. Only 500 yen admission, less for children and university students. If English is your language, ask for the auditory guide. There was no extra charge. We enjoyed the natural history exhibits as well...More

We chanced upon this place when we were looking for things to do around the area and it was awesome. My son enjoyed the visit thoroughly and the exhibits were truly impressive and nicely displayed. From dinosaurs to animals and insects, everything was shown there...More

Wonderful display and well managed. It's inviting settings made learning fun and engaging. You are so close to the exhibits that they seems to be alive. Really worth spending 2-3 hrs, so don't go there too late in the day. Excellent attraction in Fukuoka.
We were quite impressed at the scale of the museum, and especially the moving dinosaurs which were very realistic. The actual building and layout has been designed very well.
I thought it was a shame that they couldn't have labelled more of the displays in...More
The location is a mere 5 mins walk from JR Space World sta. And indeed what attracted most ppe will be the large Space world Theme Park that is situated opposite the Museum instead… The admittance fee is 500 yen for adults.
