Huge museum with living reptiles and dinosaur skeletons. It is very educational, dinosaur exhibit has a few min show and the dinosaurs were moving. It does that almost 3 hours covering all 3 floors.

There are lots of dinosaur skeletons and an animatronic display as well. Exhibits are well laid out and most have English labels. The non-dinosaur parts of the museum were tucked away and small in comparison, but there were some interesting displays.

More than we expected. A short train ride from the Kokura Station. Only 500 yen admission, less for children and university students. If English is your language, ask for the auditory guide. There was no extra charge. We enjoyed the natural history exhibits as well...More

Was somewhat unaware of this Museum (despite it's #1 ranking on Trip Advisor) until I picked up a flyer regarding a Special Exhibition there, whilst departing from Space World JR Station after visiting the (excellent) Higashida Blast Furnace. When I looked-up the location of the...More

I visited at the time of the dinosaur exhibition, but to be honest, given the number of dino skeletons in the main hall, every day is a dinosaur exhibition. A well thought out and executed natural history museum that has not only dinosaurs, stuffed flora...More

Wonderful display and well managed. It's inviting settings made learning fun and engaging. You are so close to the exhibits that they seems to be alive. Really worth spending 2-3 hrs, so don't go there too late in the day. Excellent attraction in Fukuoka.

We were quite impressed at the scale of the museum, and especially the moving dinosaurs which were very realistic. The actual building and layout has been designed very well. I thought it was a shame that they couldn't have labelled more of the displays in...More

The location is a mere 5 mins walk from JR Space World sta. And indeed what attracted most ppe will be the large Space world Theme Park that is situated opposite the Museum instead… The admittance fee is 500 yen for adults. The Museum presents...More
