Interesting place to watch sumo wrestlers arriving in their traditional garments. The entrance is lined with colorful banners. There are booths inside the hallway. You can a lot of Japanese wearing their different traditional garments.

My husband, 14-year-old daughter and I attended the Sumo Wrestling Tournament held at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium on our recent trip to Japan in March. We were actually staying in Kyoto but took a day trip to Osaka for this experience and we were really pleased that we did.
