The Fukuoka Art Museum has a great collection of local art, both historic and contemporary. I especially liked the old pottery. The staff were lovely and the entry fee was cheap. I spent about an hour here and saw most of the exhibits.

The museum is a must see in Fukuoka. The contemporary art collection was breath taking. For 200 Yen you cannot beat the price.
