One of the best ways to melt an afternoon's cares away
Dec 2016 • Solo
It is not that large, but designed with wending pathways and floral surprises around every bend. Gardeners take wonderful care, always something flowering and added seasonal theming all around the garden.

If you live close and like to read or just sit and relax, there are a great number of benches placed strategically around the park for your own corner of eden.

It is right next to a housing park and train lines. So although it's very enclosed and you can't really see much of the outside world when you're inside the garden, you can hear the trains passing. But that's really the only detractor. Otherwise, it's pure bliss.

Note to get there, enter the housing park, continue past all of the houses and turn left after the last house and it will soon be on your right. If you find yourself at a wedding event venue, you've gone too far.

There is an entrance fee that varies from ¥500-1000 depending on the season, but well worth it.

Oasis in center of town

Not so far away from central parts, but different. Calmer, peaceful, well organized, lots of flowers, roses. This time of year not so flowerimpressive, but very well taken care of.
Little shop, restaurant, benches for rest and shadow. Nice place!

Annually, i went there twice. spring and autumn. I love roses, tat`s y. Of course, there are many places in Japan or Kanagawa prefecture which can enjoy Roses for free. But i prefer here, not too huge area, but still able to enjoy it .The only things is we can`t enjoy meals inside this garden.

Roses are red ... and yellow, pink, white, orange ...

We went towards the end of May and it was already a rather hot day. We were probably just a little too late for the peak of the roses blooming but, the garden was absolutely lovely anyway. We went on a weekday and it was still quite crowded. They had so many varieites of roses and amazing colours to enjoy. We took my mother-in-law, as a late Mother's Day trip for the day and she absolutely loved it, too. There are a few seats and benches here and there to rest ... but, a few more would certainly help. Althought the garden is quite vast, there aren't any stairs, so it's not a hard walk. It's easy to get lost amongst all of the beautiful roses and each section is a little different, mainly separated by colours. The garden does show off various other flowers, too. (The cherry blossoms might be nice early in spring.) We spent nearly 3 hours just wandering around slowly and snapping photo's left, right and centre. There is a huge place out front to park your car. We will undoubtedly go next year again ... slightly earlier, next time.
