The Sapporo Dome was a good distance from JR Sapporo station requiring a 20 minute subway ride then another 20 minute walk. Like most of the otherJapanese dome stadiums, it had a silver futuristic looking exterior. Inside was also indistinguishable from the other domes for...More

Sapporo Dome is a great indoor baseball venue, with a nice (and free) play area for children. During games, they control the number of children who can play at one time to keep it safe, although when they were hovering around that top limit, my...More

Amazing place of engineering. Worth a visit to see the local teams play baseball or soccer. The turf in the stadium can move around to form the different fields! The Japanese crowds are both loud and respectful of the opposition. Well worth it

Where can I find an Otani jersey in Sapporo? (2 Replies)
Hey guys, I tried looking for an Otani jersey today during my travels and could find one. Does the Sapporo Dome have a team shop that is open during the day even when there is no game scheduled? I'll be back in town on Wednesday. If there is a shop in town that sells baseball jerseys, that would be a lot easier obviously then going all the way out to the Sapporo Dome. Thanks!

Thanks! My hotel said that's a shop near Sapporo station, On Deck which is the official shop as you suggested, so I'll check that out tomorrow or when I'm back Wednesday. If no luck there, then I'll head out to the Sapporo Dome likely on Wednesday afternoon. But hopefully they have some in stock and in my size lol. Thanks again!
