There are many places in which people express their covenant with God. This time you can be extremely surprised, because the uniqueness chosen by the people of this region is peculiar.

A lot of people come out to Kifune to eat by the river, visit the shrine and climb Kurama mountain. It has the feel of an important place of worship and is in a beautiful wooded setting in a deep valley

Beautiful authentic shrine in mountain area. Really off the tourist path and thus, well worth a visit. We went in winter and the moss with ice was stunning.

With Eiden train and bus, Kibune is easily accessible from downtown Kyoto. But the air in Kibune is refreshing. During Tanabata festival, there is a lightning. So, I strongly recommend you to visit in this period.
