Daniela, our guide, was truely amazing in how much she knows about the farm. We asked a lot of questions, nothing was too much for her. We stayed there longer as foreseen and she kept on offering us amazing food and wine. Ofcourse the cheese was incredible, no words for that. I would recommend this experience to everyone!

We felt very welcome at this family farm. Pietro gave us an excellent tour of the farmyard and cheese making facilities as he explained what goes into the making of good cheese. We sampled a few of their cheeses with focaccia bread and wine. He also brought us some fava beans that they grow.

We were staying in a villa close by and thought to look in.
They have a lovely shop with local products - veg, mozzarella made on site, meat, salami, olive oil and small selection of wine.
We also had a tour of the mozzarella production which was fascinating.
We were then taken around the cow farm.
Very interesting process.
Great to support the local products and farmers.

Pietro, the proprietor of Masseria Fragnite and our host for this experience, gave us a first-rate and personalized tour of their cheese making operations. We did not feel in any way, rushed or part of a commercial factory tour. Hats off to our cheese maker, Rocco! Following a tour, we sat outside for generous and delicious sampling of the delicacies produced before our eyes, with wine no less. We had done another similar experience like this a few years ago and Masseria Fragnite was far better. Grazie Pietro!

A perfectly enjoyable way to learn about the inner workings of a small, self-supporting farm while enjoying some of the fruits of their labor.

if you want to experience Puglia with all your senses, visit Masseria Fragnite. Atmosphere, smells, tastes, kind people, especially Daniela and Roberto. We recommend everything, especially the burrata, it is unrepeatable.

Daniela is a member of the extended family who run this masseria. She is very knowledgeable about the entire cheese making process, from managing the cows, the milking, the processing of the milk, to the making of cheese. We toured the facility, participated in making mozzarella and finished with a delicious tasting of different cheeses, faccia and wine served outdoors. The tour was about 3 hours and was definitely a very good value. A very pleasant way to experience local Apulian cheese.

We had a great tour of the masseria. We already knew the delicious mozzarella and ham from breakfast at the B&B, so we visited the masseria. The tour can be Italian or English and it is very interesting to see how the mozzarella is made. All the staff are very friendly and at the end you can taste the great products.

We highly recommend the visit. Not only very many locals shop there. Hotels and restaurants are also supplied with the good products.

I have been to the masseria itself, and also to their shop in Ceglie Messapica, which is just near San Rocco Church. The cheeses are really good, and several of the local restaurants get their dairy products from Fragnite.
