A very busy bridge across the Katsura River to the Monkey Park and the temples on the other side. It's beautiful on both sides of the river making this bridge a popular site in the area.

A beautiful old bridge crossing a dramatic ... but low, river. Mountains to either side made it a photographers dream.

Very large number of tourists for a very plain bridge. The only real attraction is the wooded vista from the bridge, at the time we visited in mid November, colours has only just started to change. Outside of peak autumn colours would not perceive this...More

You will need to cross Togetsukyo Bridge to get to the Monkey Park and shops on the "beach" side of the river. But crossing is a bit of a nightmare. It took us an hour to get across on a pretty chilly November day because...More

Togetsukyo Bridge should be regarded as the landmark for Arasiyama. Every visitor should have taken photos with this bridge. This was a timber bridge with many shops and restaurants around. Many activities were carried out nearby including boat riding, rickshaw riding, shopping, walking and eating....More

Yes the environment is nice, but to mention this bridge separate as a touristic attraction ... Unless I miss something, I would not describe this bridge as a must see.

From this bridge you can get the best of Arashiyama best scenery, calming and soothing. We manage to stay so near the bridge such that we can get beautiful scenery of the earling morning and the evening.

Gets crowded in the afternoon but the breeze was refreshing. I recommend getting there before 9am. Everybody there is courteous but if loses some lustre when it is too busy. Evening for the moon - after all, that is what it's named after.

This is the iconic bridge of Arashiyama which crosses the mighty Katsuragawa River. It looks ordinary to me, and doesn’t have the aesthetic architectural design. Cross this bridge to get to the Monkey Park on the other side of the river.

My rating is based on my visit in Summer season, it may be scenic during cherry blossom or with fall colors but it really has nothing special in July, not to mention crowd... It is a nice short walk if you happen to visit Arashiyama.

Western Kyoto is home to some of the city's best
eccentricities. Kyoto's Saga-Toriimoto Preserved

Period, where old homes have been transformed into tea
houses and eateries. Pleasure boats drift down the
riverbank, under wooden bridges that beckon nature
lovers to hiking trails and botanical walks. The

The trees are bare in winter. It is not colorful like spring and autumn. But there are many sightseeing spots such as temples, shrines, bamboo forest, and monkey parks around Arashiyama.
