泗州という歴史の古い地方都市が、清代の大洪水で数日にして土砂に埋まってましました。近年、学術的な発掘調査が行われ、様々なものが出土しました。考古遺跡となっていますが、埋め戻してあるので、見ただけではよくわかりません。

南京から車で北へ一時間半ほどの路程にある、江蘇省盱眙県郊外にある考古遺跡です。もともと州城があったのですが、清代康熙十九年（１６８０年）、黄河が流れを変えて淮河に入ったことに起因する大洪水の被害を受け、康熙三十五年（１６９６年）に城郭都市まるごと泥砂によって埋没したとのことです。２００４年以来考古発掘が行われ、インターネットを見ると３００年以上前の都市遺跡が現れてきた写真があり、期待していたのですが、おそらくかなり埋め戻されたり、水がたまっていたりで、そういった状況は確認できませんでした。
