- Joanne MDundee, United Kingdom206 contributionsExpensive view but picturesque waterfallsThe waterfalls look amazing as they surround a large pool of water. I paddled in the water as in October the water felt a bit cold to swim in. I didn’t see any changing facilities though there were toilets at the car park and at the pool (on the far side of the restaurants). There is a 400m easy walk downhill from the car park to the pool to see the waterfalls. There are many restaurants around the pool and going to one of them is the only way you will get a seat. I can recommend the place making fresh crepes, which is on the opposite side to where you arrive. They are closing mid October for the season though. The site is very commercialised and so not as natural as other waterfalls might be. We were on a bus tour and didn’t have the option of exploring other parts of the country to see other waterfalls, so this was a good option for us. Though, 10Euros entry price seemed a bit steep for a view.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 13, 2023
- buckets1969Flitwick, United Kingdom688 contributionsPretty fallsWe visited the falls as part of an excursion to mostar also. We got there around 2.15pm and stayed for an hour and a half. Parking is at the top of the hill and you need to use the toilets there for changing etc as there are none available at the falls. A 10 minute walk takes you down to the falls and the lake where you can swim. It's very cold! There are restaurants and snacks at the falls. Pretty and worth a visit. 2 hours plenty if just doing the Waterfalls but I think there are walks if you want to stay longer.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2023
- MilaWidnes, United Kingdom395 contributionsFantasticThe views were amazing, it’s a must to see. We hired a car and drove to the falls, they are in Bosnia. The stalls outstare really good, selling wine and gifts at very reasonable prices. They will take euro, cash only.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 29, 2023
- tinaNtravelSan Jose, California2,068 contributionsImpressive and worth a visitWe stopped here on a day trip to Mostar. Parking is at the top and you walk down to the waterfalls. There is a toilet area before the walk down. Down by the waterfalls is a cafe and you can rent lounge chairs. You can swim in the waterfall area although the water is quite cold. The waterfalls are great but not nearly as impressive as Plitvice and Krka. But they are still worth a visit. I’m glad we went. Although I’d definitely return to Krka or Plitvice. I felt once was enough for these waterfalls.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 22, 2024
- mahatinu223 contributionsStunningFantastic place, beautiful falls. You can just sit and enjoy the falls for hours. Short boat trips are available to take you close up to the falls . It's a 10 euro entrance fee to walk down to the falls from the car park, and well worth it.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 19, 2024
- Arthur K1 contributionBest waterfalls I’ve seen in a whileWe arrived early one evening after a day in Mostar. Unfortunately the restaurant had shut but we were kindly allowed to grab some snacks before exploring the valley and taking a dip in the plunge pool. Breathtakingly beautiful, like out of Lord of the Rings, even though really cold!! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area- well managed and priced, and if like us your phones died and you had no navigation- just easy enough to find from road signs! Fairly cheap entry prices and sufficient parking too.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 3, 2024
- Rob RTredegar, United Kingdom2,631 contributionsStunning locationWe visited with our guide and was not disappointed. The falls were not to busy as we arrived in the morning. There is some commercial activity there but it does not detract from the natural beauty of the waterfalls definitely worth a visit but choose time wisely to avoid crowdsVisited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 13, 2024
- Newcastle201999Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom134 contributionsBring sandals for when your in water due to rocks under feetWell worth a trip here. We were here for around 1.5 hours as part of our tour to Bosnia from Croatia. FYI bring sandals!!! The river and beside river has hard rocks which is really painful under feet! There’s also fish in water which didn’t bother me but someone said snakes too!! Didn’t see any snakes. This is a really beautiful place and plenty of places next to waterfall to eat. It’s a bit of a walk down to waterfall lots of steps. It’s beautiful here I’d recommendVisited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 16, 2024
- Lizzie L43 contributionsAmazing day tripWe drove from near Dubrovnik to the falls for the day - highly recommend! The ticket booth at the top only took KM but we were able to pay by card. There was plenty of free parking, free toilets and loads of places to eat and drink and buy souvenirs. The falls are beautiful. You can swim or paddle in the water (bring water shoes) and the water is refreshingly cold. We spent about 4h there in total. It was really busy (Sunday in July) but we were still able to get some good photos and have a really nice time.Visited July 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 7, 2024
- ShawCork, Ireland52 contributionsAmazing viewsWe did a day trip here from Dubrovnik and it was worth the trip. Car park is free and it’s reasonably priced. We paid by card. Small walk down to the falls and the views are breathtaking. There are places to drink and eat. It was extremely busy when we were there and the temp was over 40c so it was unbearable for us but that’s not the fault of the attraction. There is a train that goes up and down the waterfalls and if your children it you can’t handle the heat I would highly recommend. We only found out about it once we walked back up the steps in extreme heat with children not used to the heat!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 16, 2024

Lovely waterfalls about 2 hours drive from Dubrovnik. Large car park with souvenir shops, then a short 10-15 minute walk down to the waterfalls on a paved path and some stairs. The waterfalls are impressive enough even at the end of summer - silly that some reviewers here seem to come in with expectations this will rival Iguazu; it's not very powerful or tall, the charm is in the setup and colours. You can swim both most people don't. There's a restaurant and a couple of bars down by the waterfalls which were surprisingly nice and good value. Toilets are quite a way away from the main area of restaurants.
Very popular with locals as well as tourists, so would recommend avoiding weekends and trying to arrive as early in the morning as possible.

Kravice is by no means the most powerful waterfall I have seen (that honour goes to Dettifoss in Iceland) but it is pretty and definately worth visiting. There is plenty of parking with clean and free toilets and at least two restaurants at the watersedge - both barbecue style places, which nevertheless also cater for vegetarians. The walk down to the falls meanders down a winding and relatively easy path with several view points - the best one is of course at the bottom of the trail. It is possible to take a boat ride out to the falls themselves, but I didn't bother. The surrounding area is awash with different trails for exploring if you have the time - most though stop off for an hour os so just to see the falls, which is more than adequate.

The waterfalls are really impressive and it is a real treat to swim in the lovely, deep, clear water. I can’t imagine you’d be allowed to if this attraction was in the UK. It is popular and at peak times it resembled a Disney Land water park. Heaving at lunchtime. We wandered down the river to the little campsite and it was so peaceful there. You can swim in the river which is so blue and deep. The crowds at the falls start to thin out after 4pm. It became really lovely around 6pm when many people had left. There are restaurants and bars and the locals looked to be arriving later on to go out to eat. Not sure if the waterfalls are lit at night, but certainly the late afternoon was a nice time.

Look at the pictures, look what nature created, absolutely stunning! Then visit and see what humans did with what nature gave them. There’s a coach park like a football pitch, 10euros to get in, 4 toilet cubicles that everyone queues to change in, no other changing facilities then the track down to the pool. An unmaintained path, crooked steps and chains of tourists looking stressed and struggling trying to get back to the coach park. As you approach the falls you notice their great beauty and can stop for a photo before yet another person starts pushing and shoving. When you arrive at the bottom it is wall to wall, burger and chips and barely a scrap of earth to sit on. It is also not easy to access the water, gravel sloping banks and without swimming shoes it would be challenging to get out. My husband is a wild swimmer in the UK and regularly swims in the sea or lakes, he found this experience unpleasant and unclean. I chose not to even get in because it was such a hideous bun fight.
As robust swimmers, we were particularly looking forward to this, a result of capitalism and greed ruining something beautiful. Coach after coach taking 10 euros per person and sending each herd down for 1/2 hours then battling to get back up the rugged steps against the tide of the next herd making their way down.
Go, but go out of season and not on a coach tour!
Please spend some of the money you take on changing facilities and the access route, hygiene and maintenance.

We visited the Kravica Waterfalls in our own car from Mostar. When we arrived in the afternoon towards the end of September, the number of visitors was fairly limited, so it was not as crowded as it seems to be in the high season. There is a very large free car park, from which you are just a few steps to the entrance. The entrance fee is 20 KM, and it is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Since the weather was still summery and sunny during our visit, we not only looked at the waterfalls, which are worth seeing, but also had a swim in the lake to cool off.

I was saddened by my visit to the waterfalls this week.
I visited the place nine years ago and had a great time.
Back then, entrance was free and you could do whatever you wanted.
Now they charge the price of two or more meals to get in, and the place is a lifeless shell of what it used to be.
All the waterfalls are roped off.
You can't climb any rocks and jump to the water.
You can't stand in awe and feel the power of the water falling near you.
I used to tell people that these waterfalls were much nicer than Plitvice, where you can only look.
Now they are just a kiddie pool with a nice backdrop.
For shame.

Nice waterfalls and views...for five minutes. Waterfalls cover significantly smaller area than Plitvice, hence due to the amount of visitors are massively overcrowded. Pricewise - they're not too bad, family of 5 (two adults and 3 children) we have paid 52 BAM (including car park). Additionally, opposite to Plitvice, you can swim in the surrounding lake. One will like one won't; I belong to the latter. All together nice for one visit, however I didn't like that you can swim. If I were to choose - Una Waterfalls - Štrbački Buk in Orašac and Great Una Waterfalls in Martin Brod are way better and have much more charm.

The waterfalls are really quite pretty and a great place to cool down during Mostar's unbearble summer heat. The water is very cold but fine once you're in.
It's not very easy to find a place to relax for a few hours - if you arrive early you may find a shady spot, however there's not much seating spot in general and it's all directly on the ground. You can also rent basic beach chairs for 3€ - they're limited though and we're gone by 12-1 (on a weekday).

This natural park has been called mini Iguazu, with emphasis in “mini”. The water falls for about 23 meters , in different, separate sections, in 120 m widespread.
It’s a place to picnic, swim or have lunch. In July, the entrance fee was €5 per person. From the parking lot, a paved trail takes you down about 150 m, but can be challenging climbing up at 40o C.
It’s worth a detour, but not a special trip.

How much is entry? I've seen conflicting amounts online. Also can you pay by card or is it cash only?
Written June 4, 2022
I believe the cost for adults is 20 KM or about 10 Euros and they do take credit cards.
The train ride back up costs 1 Euro each

How long would it take us to get there by taxi from Dubrovnik? Arriving my cruise ship in May
Written March 5, 2020
Hi,
It takes 2-3 hours to get there by taxi. There are about 150km but you will have to pass the Croatian-Bosnian border twice if you take the coast road. I would recommend the coast since the view is fantastic..
Have fun!

What is the best place to camp with a large campervan with access to waterfalls and easy access from a road. No tiny rocky roads. Thanks

I think, you can camp directly on the parking place close to the entrance to waterfalls. But I think, it is paid in some hours.

I have some problems walking on uneven ground
How accessible are the falls ?
Written October 9, 2018
The walk down to the falls is quite steep but there are steps. If you intended swimming you may have difficulties as you have to walk across rocks to get into the water.
