Taoism immersion
Mar 2021
I'd say the hiking trail is way more interesting than just take a cable and visit the touristy spots. The whole mountain is with well organized trails, and there are Taoism temples here and there.

Quiet and nice to have a vation

The mountain was not high. I stayed in a hotel in the nearby town instead and walked up for 30 minutes to reach the scene. You could also take the cable car but it might take less than 5 minutes.

Great peace after Yellow Mountain

Qiyun mountain
An awesome mountain area to visit for a few hours. I arrived at 9 oclock and it was enough to get to see the sea of clouds (on top of the fog). The temples were epic, there was no crowds and the views were breath taking. One should definitely go to "fangla village". There was for some reason no one else except me, but the path was epic. See pictures. Also, i would have wanted to stay in the town for the previous night, but no western travel sites had any of the hotels or lodging on their pages. There were some nice looking modern hotels and even a tree house hotel in the area.

Interesting little Mountain

I enjoyed my walk around Qiyun Mountain. Probably more interesting if you love temples and related sites of interest. Not much to see at the very top, although the Day was hazy and polluted. Cable Car ride was great, but I guess a walk up would also be OK and not too long. Village was interesting as villages go.

Fairy and spirital mountain
Jul 2016 • Family
my family went to Qiyun mountain on our way to Huangshan Mountain. Qiyun is much smaller than Huangshan, but it is spiritual and beautiful. Walking up the mountain looked very easy, but it was very humid. Tao temples and relics are everywhere and you feel that you are walking back over 500 years in the past.

Exhausting but super nice weekend trip
Mar 2015 • Friends
We have gone to QiYun Mountain as part of a weekend trip wie Dragon Adventures China and is has been great. We were hiking all day long, stayed at the traditional Chinese hostel and saw a fantastic sunrise the next day at 6 am. If you have the Chance, go to QiYun (it's also very quite in contrast to the very touristic Yellow Mountains).
