We were travelling Srilanka on Aprial, we reached @ mirissa on middle of Aprial. The People called Camil & Krishantha arranged us a tour to see whales & Dolphins. Actually we were very happy on the Boat Voyage. We saw plenty of Dolphins and some Whales for a Reasonable RATE. we had a Cheese S/W and some pure fruits. actually we were very happy on this journey. Camil & Krishantha are very helpful people. wish you all the best. Jerad Jerry from Canada

First our boat crew promised us about dolphins, but they said to see the whales we need some luck. We had our boat ride in the early morning around 7. nice warm weather which we all loved. maybe after 15 min of riding off the shore, we saw a large bunch of dolphins all over the boat. What an amazing creatures they are. sometimes they swim with our boat It's an unforgettable experience. But we were not lucky enough to see any whales this time. anyway no regrets the boat ride was superb. The boat crew was very friendly and professional. Worth of having this tour.

Everyone meets at the Pradise Beach Resort where tea and coffee is available. We were taken to the boat by minibus about 6.30 for a 7.00 sailing. The boat was a good size and held about 50 passengers over 2 decks with a crew of 4. When we left harbour they brought round breakfast packs which were adequate. Water was also available.

It was interesting to see that the boats from Mirissa met up with boats from elsewhere so we had quite a flotilla. When the first whale was spotted the boats seemed to work together to keep the whale in sight and let everyone have a chance to see.

I guess we were slightly unlucky that we only saw a Brydes whale and a Blue whale both mostly submerged. However the whole experience of pursuing the whales at sea added to the enjoyment.

The crew were always conscious of safety to the extent that they helped passengers move around the boat when the deck was bouncing around. They always seemed to be firmly anchored to the deck.

Overall it felt like a very professionally run operation and we were happy to pay 6500 Rs each for a four and a half hour trip.
