The titles says it all, that’s what you want when on this tour!

Nice clean boat, friendly & knowledgable staff, welcomed on board with a cup of tea or coffee and a sea sickness tablet - which I took and didn’t feel sick at all but beware it knocked me out for the rest of the day, and I saw a lady be sick who didn’t take one. So you have to decide what you prefer however it was only 1 person I saw be sick.

We took off and were given our breakfast in a box which was a couple of sandwiches and a piece of cake, we very quickly found a pod of dolphins, then we went out further and found a blue whale which was amazing to see.

On our return we were offered a plate of fruit and we ran into another pod of dolphins.

We got to see a great view of the whales. Crew & boat were great but it was over very quickly.
Be careful of the sea sickness tablets they hand out, they make you very drowsy for the rest of the day.

After reading the reviews here I did not have high expectations of seeing whales. However, our experience was way better than we expected. We saw 4 whales, which for me, was a `once in a lifetime' experience.
I'd like to address some of the criticism in reviews here.
- The chances of seeing a whale are probably less that seeing a tiger in a tiger resort (I never have), so if you do see one, albeit for a few seconds, it is something to remember. The company does make an effort to go to where the whales are, even if it takes more time and offer a free trip the next day if you don't see any. I therefore think complaints that this is some kind of scam, or the whales did not spend enough time in front of your boat, are misplaced.
- You are given sea sickness tablets and its not advisable to do the trip after a meal. We had a fairly choppy sea and only a couple of cases of sea sickness - though there were a few more who probably felt uncomfortable.
- The cost per hour is not very different from what you'd pay for a tourist ferry.

Takes 4-5 hrs starts at 6 am, you need to be very lucky to spot the whale, we could see glimpses of whale during 5 hrs time, rough see. Good arrangement by the boat operators, provides breakfast, fruits, juices. Do not attempt if you have sea sickness, they provide tablets but seen many people suffering. You can also see Dolphins if lucky.

Overall it was a good experience. Well scripted none the less. After wandering in the sea for an hour or so, suddenly 10-12 boats start chasing one becked whale. And not to miss the single propeller hovering over literally guiding them from the sky. Npt denining the fact that it's exciting to spot one but I'd say it's scripted to keep up the excitement. Once in a life time experience which can be well better organized.

Total waste of time and money, no whales in this place, a half day lost, I don’t recommend this activity at all, better to use this time for another holiday purpose.

We had a wonderful time on the Whale Watching Sri Lanka Boat. The crew was very attentive and the boat was clean and in good condition. We were served a breakfast and many wonderful fruit snacks as well as coconut juice from coconuts! We saw a few whales and lots of dolphins although the whales seemed elusive. Still, we saw a few whales swimming and a few tails come out of the water close to our boat. Our boat stayed out while others headed back to the dock so we could see the dolphins. We recommend this boat to anyone looking for a great adventure in Mirissa.

It was wonderful time nearly 4 hours with the cruise members. Very helpful and they have well understanding of whales behavior. Therefore we are lucky to spend time and see whales very clearly. Furthermore their services with providing us tea and mealss added advantage of the tour.

Recommend to anyone for watching whales with this team.
Thank you.
