Come into our farmhouse store and enjoy a tasting! You can experience an apple cider, spirits or fortified tasting at $5 each. Proceeds from our tastings go towards our charity of the month. Pick up a self-guided tour map and explore the grounds. Our farmhouse store is nestled in the heart of the apple orchard. Our store is stocked with ciders, spirits, gourmet foods made by local artisans and small lot production farmers. The deli cooler is stocked with house made dressings, relishes, and sauces, which are made in our own kitchen. From nearby farms we have sourced items such as chocolate, spice blends, marinades, and artisan spreads. Our gourmet food items come from a collection of artisanal food producers from around the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, as well as the Okanagan. We have chosen products made by people with passion for what they do, just as we have passion for what we create! All of the artwork that adorns the walls of our store and bistro is functional and fine, lovingly produced by Vancouver Island based artists. We have painted textiles, bowls, glassware, willow baskets, local interest books, cider-scented soaps, wood carvings, and the perfect paintings and photography for your walls. All of our art is created by people who live close by and our wall and shelves are constantly changing with new products and creations. Great for all of your seasonal gift-giving needs! So enjoy a culinary tour of gourmet food items and art in our farmhouse store while our knowledgeable staff assist with your selections. They are on-hand to suggest the perfect pairings, whether it is cider, spirits, gourmet food, baked goods or art! We have you covered when it comes to your kitchen or dining table!

Great conversation with the staff, fantastic flight and the Gin tasting was well thought out.

Stopping in was the highlight of our trip and there were many runners up. I know we will be heading back over for a special weekend, soon.

We stopped in here and had two different tasting flights of cider, both were roughly $4 each. We bought some cider at the end but the tasting fee was not waived, so bit of bummer. The staff certainly know about cider but in a way that it seems rehearsed and memorized vs having an understanding of what they are really... More

Thank you very much for not only an incredible eatery (hamburger and truffle fries!!!), but tasty ciders and superb customer service. Jessica was incredibly detailed, prompt, and knowledgeable. Also, her manager ventured over, where we embellished (and likely so) on Jesscia's skills and generosity. As a cider lover, this experience went above and beyond cider tasting...with running the risk of... More

Four of us stopped on a family tour of the Cowichan Valley. My stepdaughter loves cider so a stop at Merridale was required. We went for the basic tasting while she and her partner decided on the deluxe version. The cider was presented in a heavy custom designed glass to keep the cider cool. The site is well developed with... More

My wife is a big cider fan and this place is awesome. A very beautiful setting. We made a quick visit on our way to Victoria. This is a don't miss stop. They also produce gin.

We visited with friends, and would definitely recommend a visit. The cider expert was very welcoming, and we talked to him and said that perhaps we might eat. He let us know that we were able to do a tasting at the table if we would like to do that, which we elected to do, and he asked a waitress... More

We wanted to find a cidery to visit and were pleased with the selection of ciders available to taste, followed by a good bistro lunch. Good portions with quality food. And they make gin there. Didnt try on the premises but bought a bottle which I would definitely buy again.

We did the short self guided tour and did a cider tasting. The guy helping us out was great! We walked out of there with some house dry cider.

We stopped in for a cider tasting and also enjoyed a walk around the beautiful grounds. They offer a variety of tastings with a gift shop of treats, cider, and gifts. There is also a restaurant on site. The grounds are very nice to walk around and see/learn about the variety of apples.
