Well hidden gem of the Bosnian past

This Bosnian Franciscan monastery is located near Kakanj, in the village of Kraljevska Sutjeska. There is a museum in which it houses historical treasures and a library with around 11000 works, including 31 incunabula and works in Bosnian Cyrillic. The monastery compounds also includes Grgurevo, a site where the kings' castle from 1330 along with his remains are located.

Maintains the heritage of Bosnian kings (and queens)

This monastery, its name in translation meaning "king's canyon", continues to maintain the heritage of Bosnian medieval kings with its rich museum collection. there are also numerous valuable paintings to be seen in monastery0s museum. When already there, one should also visit Bobovac, the medieval town which used toe be the seat of Bosnian kings
