Footfalls Walking Holidays was founded in 1994 by Christopher and Teresa Stacey. We wanted to share our love and interest in the great outdoors with others so we started guiding individuals and groups in the Wicklow Mountains.

Before long we were getting requests from our customers to see more of Ireland than just Wicklow and also do self-guided tours. Today we have expanded to where we are offering guided and self-guided tours to almost every corner of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Lake District. Despite out growth almost all of our tours are guided by us, Christopher and Teresa, to guarantee that personal touch.

If you love to walk and want to see Ireland at its finest, don't miss the opportunity to hike with Christopher through the breathtaking country side of Ireland. Christopher is a delightful host with loads of stories to tell. His choice of BnB's and restaurants was perfect. I fully intend to book another walking tour with Footfalls.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by going on two self-guided hiking tours in Ireland, the Dingle Way and the Wicklow Way, and we hired Footfalls Walking Tours to schedule our walks for us. I found Footfalls Walking Tours after doing some research on different companies, looking at their websites, etc. I was attracted to Footfalls for two reasons. 1.... More

My long time friend and walking partner completed the Cork/Kerry Hike in May/June 2016. After two previous driving holidays in Ireland, I vowed to return and hike some of the gorgeous countryside and better yet, to do it with my life long friend and walking partner. After much research, I chose Footfalls and It most certainly was the right choice... More

My friend and I signed up with Footfalls for a three-day hiking tour in the Wicklow Mountains. We were guided by Bridget (sorry, I know that probably isn't the right spelling), who is such a gentle, warm and caring person. The hikes, albeit mostly in the rain, were fascinating and beautiful. It is a small group experience - we were... More

I've just returned from five days in the Wicklow Mountains, hiking in a small group of five led by Christopher and Teresa Stacey. I looked over numerous websites for guided hikes in the mountains of Ireland and am happy that I chose Footfalls because everything is as they say. Gorgeous country, friendly people, tiny villages, rivers, ancient monastery and other... More

I had a wonderful and unforgettable hiking trip in the Wicklow Mountains with Christopher and Teresa Stacey. They were very personal and caring from the pickup at the airport, until the cozy suppers in local restaurants. The Tinakilly hotel was very attractive with it's gardens and luxury rooms. During the hiking, Christopher accompanied and guided the group in a 'typical'... More

In July 2015, 8 family members (ranging from 16 to 58 years) did the eight-day, self-guided Kerry Way hiking tour arranged by Footfalls. We had a GREAT time, in beautiful surroundings and with nice accommodations. We loved the adventure of walking from place to place on a trail that was very well waymarked. We appreciated the detailed maps and directions... More

My wife and I took the Cork and Kerry guided tour in late September. The tour exceeded our expectations and Chris is a superb tour guide. His even demeanor and direct responses are comforting. He gauges hikes based upon the collective capabilities of the group and rounds out each walk with details about the terrain, history and plants. The accomodations... More

My sister and I went on the September, 2015 Donegal/Antrim hiking tour. We could not have been more pleased with the experience. The group is kept small (10-13 people); and we were able to bond with the group quickly. The hikes were through some of the most gorgeous country imaginable. Christopher owns Footfalls and personally guided our group. The hikes... More
