There is the Stream which is really impressive in winter when it rains.
You walk along it on a wooden path for 20 to 30 minutes depending on how many pictures you take and how crowded the site is (beware of the Israeli feast periods).
In Summer it is cool and refreshing but the stream is not as powerful as during the rainy season of course.

Besides the stream itself you have plenty to see: if you get there right at the opening, meaning if you're among the first to enter the site you will see plenty of wild life.
Just take a look at the pictures.

And if you're there, jump to the next site with the Archeological findings and more water and streams, it's called Banias as well and very much worth your time

Bottom line: a must see site to visit all year long.

Although there are several beautiful short hikes to enjoy here, the main attraction is the Grotto of the God Pan - a site with Greek and, later, Roman origins - and the source of a fresh water spring that feeds the river Jordan. Waterfalls everywhere you look! For the biblically inclined, it is also the site where Jesus reputedly appointed Peter as the Rock on which he would build his church. A must see for lots of reasons.

Try arrive before 2pm because the Nature reserve closes at 4 pm and you need time to walk along the pathways. There are steep steps even on the "easier" trail which took about 45 minutes. I suggest good walking/hiking shoes and take water with you.
There are benches to relax and there are nature guides to answer questions. The guides were very knowledgeable.
The hiking trails are very well marked and the map which you get on entry gives lots of information. Its possible to have a picnic at certain spots in this beautiful park.
Its not wheelchair friendly and a fair level of fitness is best

For those looking for an easy walk in nature along a beautiful river this is it, for those looking for a hike, may want to look elsewhere. The added bonus of the excavations in the area make this a plus for the archeological buffs.

As a licensed tour guide, I come here quite often. The nature reserve is clean and well kept. The hike from the parking lot to the waterfalls on the other side is about 45-55 minutes. It is not a hard hike, but it is a beautiful path taking you to the amazing waterfalls of the Banias Springs. There is an ancient Roman bridge and a water-powered gristmill along the way. Don't miss.

Walking along the stream, that eventually joins the Jordan river, is a wonderful experience for the entire family. Amazing archaeological excavations. Enjoy.

This wonderful reserve has a combination of archaeological structures and natural beauty. A fantastic trail along the stream may be retraced or continued all the way to the fall (see previous review).

Mythology, ancient temples, 2000 year old bridge (still in use) and architecture from various eras in the past 2000 years, are all attractions. Hiking to the waterfall is fun any time except in the rain.
