- AlyxoHong Kong, China341 contributionsNice garden but exorbitant entry priceSmall charming botanical garden. Probably the creation of an enthusiast. The garden has an impressive number of plant varieties. The garden is organized on the plan of a theme trail. Unless you are an erudite botanical enthusiast, it takes less than an hour to go around it at the speed of a snail. To visit without regrets if you do not watch your travel budget. The advantage of the price is that you will not be attacked by the crowd!Visited March 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten March 11, 2022

- Stephen B9 contributionsMini Sample GardensThis is a privately run Botanical Gardens that will set you back 500baht which I thought was a little too expensive for what it was. They had many seperate themed gardens which were quite interesting although, being tropical, there was a distinct lack of flowers. Please don’t forget the insect spray because the mossies are very hungry.Visited August 2019Written August 28, 2019

Most of the plants were half dead, there was not one single butterfly in the butterfly garden - apparently they all got sick and died. The winter garden was an air conditioned room with fake plastic flowers.
When we asked for refund the women at the front desk abused us and refused to get manager or refund any money.
Absolute waste of time and money (500B each entry) took about 15mins to walk through the whole place.

Park looks abandoned when we arrived, we almost didn’t go in and then a lady waved us down. Rubbish throughout the car park and admission was 500 baht per person and mosquito spray 50 baht. We didn’t risk the disappointment for that price thank you

500 bhat per person is way too much. Lots of mosquitos. Not very big. Caged birds are not happy, should have set them free. Fish feeding has caused eye injuries to some fish fighting for food. Lot of dead plants. Fake flowers. Overall not worth it.

The certificate of excellence was 2015 and that's when clearly the gardens had some money spent on it. Since then it appears to have been rather neglected.
Agree with other reviewers:
Birds forlorn in too small cages (especially the peacocks-they should be roaming)
Plastic flowers and other tat horrible.
It should not advertise a butterfly area if there are no butterflies.
Restaurant...?
Some fish do appear poorly and should be removed.
Some parts of the gardens which were being watered were in better shape.
We did not see a single gardener or active staff person during our 2 hour visit.
The most interesting wild life was the variety of birds in the trees.
Overall, in need of tender loving care (TLC) and compared to many botanical gardens we have visited in other countries this one is barely 2 star.
A shame - it could be so much better 😕

Turned up and the entrance & car park were completely empty, however we decided to go in as the entrance did look inviting. 500baht per adult to enter - absolutely not worth it at all. I wouldn’t mind paying if the money was spent on maintaining the garden, however it is clearly not. Once inside, we were met with a mosquito haven and a very untidy garden in desperate need of maintenance. They also had many birds in tiny, unclean cages which made us very sad. Two peacocks were hidden away in a very small enclosure and both had lost their feathers and appeared to not be cared for. As soon as we saw this, we headed straight for the exit. Would not recommend at all.

We went here in the hope of seeing what one would expect from a botanical gardens but sadly we were disappointed. It is small but not even well designed. Even some of the nicer displays were totally ruined by weird looking, tasteless ceramic gnome like objects that looked totally out of place. It was almost comical like someone’s gran had gone around placing tat from the local Chinese shop. I really wouldn’t bother...

I had not planned to go to a botanical garden but I was in the area and my tuk-tuk driver took me to this location. I agree with the other visitors. The botanical gardens are not maintained as one would expect. Yes, mosquitoes are breeding. When I finished the tour and walked through the gift store it was dimly lit. I was under the impression that they may be looking for a new buyer.

The gardens were fairly expensive to enter (500 baht for an adult) but it was still nice to wander through them. Initially I was going to give this place a higher rating - despite some of the areas lacking in plant variety or labels etc. it was still a pleasant afternoon. That was, until I entered the 'winter garden' right at the end. It is right near the butterfly garden. There is a section you walk through between the Winter and Butterfly garden. There, against a wall in steaming hot, dirty, glass aquariums were 3-4 baby hedgehogs. They were without food and water, lying limp (one unable to move out of it's own filth), panting and half dead. In fact, I am fairly sure at least one of these poor creatures WAS dead as it certainly wasn't moving and I couldn't see it breathing. This was the most disgusting display of animal cruelty and really, it is completely unnecessary for baby animals to even BE at the gardens, let alone in such pitiful displays. I was appalled at the ignorance and lack of empathy the people who work here showed. Disgusting practice. Please do not give these people your money and fund such cruelty. The gardens are not worth it.

My Wife and I have travelled to a fair few Botanical Gardens in South East Asia and this has to go down as the worst we have ever visited.
Haven driven for a fair time to get there our immediate impression was not too good and it went down hill from there.
Having paid 1000 Baht to get in (which is way, way overpriced) the quality of the exhibits were poor. The layout of each 'garden' seems unstructured and, to be honest, it got to the point that we headed to the exit as quickly as we could.
The use of 'random' ceramic objects throughout the garden is strange and fundamentally detracts from the displays.
This place needs to go back to basics and reengineer the whole place from start to finish.
Don't waste your time and money on this garden.

Travel info said this garden has 30 zones of exotic and rare plants which are totally over stated. The garden does have 30 zones but each zone is only a tiny 20 to 30 square meters with only a few common collections of plants. We walked slowly but it took us 50 mins to complete the walk. It costs 500 bahts a visit. For us it's not worth the time and is a waste of money. The Botanical garden does not even match the gardens of the resort that we stay in.
