It is a nice place for a short visit. There is a gigantic Buddha statue and many smaller ones. Very disciplined crowd and place and maintains the sanctity of the place. There are smaller view points for scenic photographs. At the right side near the parking is a very clean and hygienic canteen. There is lovely food available and we... More

Stunning view and fantastic statue. The boards explaining the history was written very poorly in English and it was difficult to read about the history of the statue, but definitely a must see when in Phuket.

Big Buddah is a must see. Feels very surreal walking up to and through it. Amazing views of Phuket. There is souvenir shops & can buy drinks. Cost us 1000 Baht return to Patong

The Big Buddha is Big and beautiful and serene, but what blows you away (apart from the wind) is the bird's eye view of Phuket and nearby islands. Photographers, please carry your wide angle, zoom and fish eye lenses to capture some breathtaking shots. The temple under the Big Buddha is still under construction and I'm sure once it's finished,... More

This was such an experience and something I recommend everyone should do when visiting Phuket. My husband and I did a city tour and the Big Buddha was one of our stops. It was surreal and we managed to take some great photos. We enjoyed every moment!

Visited this site for the first time. Transport was arranged with local taxi driver in Patong Beach to drive and return to this site and other sites for $10AUD p.p. took 4 hours all up for the day. The site is spectacular views of the bay and is being renovated but is still a very good place to visit no... More

Got to the Grand Bhudda by hiking up the mountain on a trail that began on Soi 16 (might be Soi 14) just opposite the SBC bank in Karon. Was staying at Pineapple Guesthouse and read there was a way to walk up the Big Bhudda from there. Walk was not easy for me (since I had not hiked for... More

Got there in time for the sunset, we could see the whole city from up there and everything looked beautiful. I think there are 92 steps to the Big Budha and although my girls were tired they got up there really fast. It was a nice new experience for all of us and also a very informative one for the... Superb view with lots of opportunities to buy souvenirs and leave your message in the guest book or on a piece of marble. Love it
