We visited here back at the end of last year, as other posters have said the site is still under construction but it's definitely worth a visit Area is nice and views were amazing

Big Buddha is a must when visiting Phuket, the structure is enormous and the surrounding views and temples are stunning. We took some lovely photos and spent a good 2 hours here as there's so much to look around!

There are no buses that will take you directly to Big Buddha. It's a 40 min trip from Patong so I would recommend. Private taxi and then take in a few other sites . Taxi will be the cheapest in the long run Big Buddha is... More

We are staying in karon and interested in the hike to big Buddha on our last day tomorrow. where is this hike and is the path clear to follow where to go to get to the top??? Thanks in advance!

Hi There s a hikng track from the Pineapple Guest House to Big Buddha but it's not clearly marked . I would suggest going to the P G H and asking the lads for instructions. Start early and carry water. It will blow you away... More

It'll be a long hike up, and then coming down too. However the path is easy to follow and it's clear. If you are going to hike up there leave plenty of time to get back down so that your not on the path in the dark. When we... More
