An unmissable part of any trip to Phuket. Lots of reviewers mentioned that the place is a bit of a building site. It really is a building site, inside and out. But that's OK. I loved the views from inside looking out past the golden monks. We got a good deal on a taxi who waited for free for a... More

Lovely time visiting the big Buddha. Was lovely walking around looking at all of the information. The view points for photographs were really good and I could take photographs of the island. There are places to get refreshments while you are there too.

Definitely worth seeing, not yet finished but really amazing, with breathtaking views. If you can climb stairs ( and there's a few) you'll love the view from the top

We went up on a really hot day and glad we got a driver to take us. Make sure girls see the guys at the bottom of the stairs at the shrine down the street to cover legs and shoulders. The Buddha was fantastic to see, everything was so gold and shiny!! Great photos and spiritual insight.

It's good to see the big buddah being well maintained and surrounding areas (like the stairs) being upgraded. View is amazing and their is something special about being in such an important place and religious place.

Great views over the whole of the area, but not much else to see apart from the giant (very modern) Buddha. Combined the visit with a trip to a nearby temple, which made it very worthwhile. A good half day visit.

This was our first days experience. Lovely views from top of hill. Big Buddha is amazing and extremely large. I think money would be better spent on roads and street scape.

We took a guided tour so only got around half an hour here but nice place to visit to experience other religion, you can buy a tile for the new building or have a blessing from a monk. There are a lot of items to buy but there was no hard sell, a pleasant place to look around and take... More
