No visit to Phuket would be complete without a visit to The Big Buddha. It's an absolute marvel. You can see and feel the inspiration around the place. It's a pity tho that when we visited, there was construction going on - obviously improving the surroundings but this didn't dampen our visit

Thailand beliefs, traditions and cultural values - Peaceful, Serene and Passive are the right adjectives to describe the Kingdom of Thailand. The most potent national symbols are the king and images associated with Buddhism. The monarch serves as the most important symbol of national identity and unity. Images of the king appear frequently in public and in people's homes, and... More

I think we're only see big budha statue in this place, but it turns out suprisingly having a wonderful sight seeing of beautiful scenery down there. We take a several photo in that place. I came with my big family, and my nephew was wearing a short pants, so the guard lend her s scarf to close the short pants.

We visited the big Buddha on our holiday at Phuket. The statue is really big and beautiful, and gives tn the tourist a glimpse of Thai culture. Entrance here is for free, and you can take amazing pictures. At the top of the big Buddha, visitors can make a donation through the construction of the big Buddha by giving donations... More

Follow the windy drive up to the top where you find the Big Buddha. What a site. Not only the Buddha to see. Walk around the gardens, get a spiritual blessing from a Monk and check out the view. Free entry but can buy tiles and give a Monk a gift or donation. Enjoy

I liked the place in general. However, the site was under heavy construction when I brought my family for visit in July 2016.

We organized our own taxi and took a trip up to big Buddha - did not regret it one bit. Great feel for Thai Culture, in a great atmosphere with an amazing view of Phuket.
