It was a religious visit to temple, you can feel how much importance they give to Buddhism, and felt proud to be an indian there among all foreigners.

This is a decent tourist attraction. See on a cool day as the views are great. But a lot of construction. Not much going on here.

There are no buses that will take you directly to Big Buddha. It's a 40 min trip from Patong so I would recommend. Private taxi and then take in a few other sites . Taxi will be the cheapest in the long run Big Buddha is... More

Hi There s a hikng track from the Pineapple Guest House to Big Buddha but it's not clearly marked . I would suggest going to the P G H and asking the lads for instructions. Start early and carry water. It will blow you away... More

It'll be a long hike up, and then coming down too. However the path is easy to follow and it's clear. If you are going to hike up there leave plenty of time to get back down so that your not on the path in the dark. When we... More
