Took an island tour and this is one of the must see places. Set on top of a hill, the Big Buddha is a towering monument. You can get an excellent view of the area from on top and they Buddha is amazing. At the top of the stairs the Buddha looks down upon you with a peaceful smile--wonderful.

A must visit place when in Phuket. The Buddha itself is spectacular covered with white marble. Not only the Buddha but the views from the multiple view points this place offers is something you cannot miss. The place is still being renovated but you can still visit without any problems. TIP: If you want to take pictures of the Buddha... More

Hard to reach this place by own. Very poor condition of road. It'll be good to visit this place with some local tour package.

Grabbed a taxi for the day and decidedl to visit the big Buddha. Wow well worth going for the fantastic views! Still undergoing construction but still a fantastic site. It's free so that's a bonus. However they do try to get you to donate on almost every corner! My advise if in Phuket don't miss this!!

Loved the Big Buddha in Phuket. It was so amazing to read everything and look at the cultural side of things. It was a very hot day but was still so beautiful. Thank you.

It is very big and worth the trip up the hill. We enjoyed our trip to see this. I don't think the surroundings are completely finished yet. You can buy a small square marble tile to help towards the completion. There is no pressure to buy any of the touristy gifts available.

...but big enough. It looks like they'll be building this forever judging by what we saw and when it was started, but they are working on it and it doesn't interfere with viewing enjoyment. There seemsbto be about 100 people selling souvenirs so no waiting. Suggestion to management : Get a couple of those souvenir sellers collecting the garbage and... More

My husband and I rented a motorbike and headed to Big Budda and the southern part of Phuket Island. It's very far up the mountain on motorbike but the views for picture taking were amazing. We stopped and ate at one of the many local Thai restaurants along the way cheap and delicious.(can't find on here). We got to the... More
