You can definitely find the best bird-eye view of Phuket Island here. The view is breath-taking. However, it would give this Big Buddha a five stars if it is not for constructions. There were two excavators blocking the view and the place was still under construction. The big Buddha itself was gigantic and gorgeous. I would go there again on... More

Big Buddah is well worth a taxi ride to see. Donate a few dollars to ensure it gets finished by signing a tile. The whole site gives you a sence of wellbeing. Watch out for the monkeys. They like to jump on you. Keep a respectful distance. The views are great from the top too. One curious feature are the... More

My group were in Patong and wanted a 1/2 day trip to see some sights. We opted to get a hotel taxi to the Big Buddha. The journey took about 1 hour from our hotel in central Patong. The Big Buddha is well worth seeing, its not the biggest i have seen but i believe it is the biggest in... More

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I actually found the Big Buddha a lot more impressive than I thought I would. It looks amazing! And please treat yourself by not turning to see the view until you get to the top of the stairs, it's well worth the wait.

Have watched the Big Buddha being built over the last few years it is truly amazing. The tools the people had to work with were not modern tools which made their work all the more harder. But toil away they did it's truly remarkable.A must see also on the drive up to the Big Buddha you will pass many Working Elephants.

Our half day tour package with Amazing Phuket Tours included the BIG BUDDHA. The winding road trip to the top was interesting - The structure is awesome BIG and although the stairs to the Buddha looks daunting to climb it was an easy trip to the top. Interesting was the small marble tiles that you can buy at the entrance... More
