i would recommend going here - don't worry if you don't have appropriate clothing on - they let you borrow scarfs & skirts !

Highly recommend this as a visit! please beware to cover shoulders and legs when visiting places of worship. Observed monks inside the temple! You can 'donate' money to help aid re-tiling the Buddha. Site is currently having work done so does not feel as serene...More

Truely beautiful and spiritual place.. one off my favourite trips in Phuket .. when you first see big Buddha looming on the hill top it is breathtaking

Lovely walk to the top and the views were breath-taking. Had the chance to meditate and it was a lovely experience. A must see for all.

This was so majestic! It was misty when we went there, but we could still see this huuuge statue! It is utterly breathtaking, if you haven't seen it for yourself you definitely must go and see it!

We visited Big Buddha in early morning, very peaceful and nice view from top of mountain. Do not forget the small store selling local "Fried Campedak". (Similar like Jack fruit).

This amazingly HUGE Buddah was incredible. No fee to go in but they do rely on donations . It is still very much under construction but worth the visit.

I think No...I saw a few taxis in the parking lot but they seem to be the one already booked by the people visiting the Big Buddha.....The safer bet will be to hire a taxi and visit the place......Alternatively, if feeling... More

Hi Kaz, hiring motorbike will be if there only 2 of you and most importantly must have good riding skill as the roads are narrow and need proper handling especially during the return. Don't use tuk tuk service for Big Buddha... More

There are no buses that will take you directly to Big Buddha. It's a 40 min trip from Patong so I would recommend. Private taxi and then take in a few other sites . Taxi will be the cheapest in the long run Big Buddha is... More
