On the way up the hill to the site you have to pass a few businesses that have elephant rides etc. It is terribly heartbreaking to see but they are in no way affiliated with the Big Buddha itself. Just throw them major dirty... More

There is walking at the site also so perhaps plan ahead and take a foldup chair.

Not sure on the taxi fare price but you negotiate the fare with the driver and in the price is included waiting for you.If you get a metered taxi no negotiation but much cheaper.We never tip as that's only if you want to and... More
