I often stop by Coopers Beach. A handy carpark and restrooms for travelers. Great beach for the whole family. Pick up some fish and chips from the nearby Mangounui Fish and Chip shop and sit on the beach and admire the scenery.

Often good waves for body boarding, nice at either high or low tide. Also a playground for the kids.
