This Monument called Bara Kaman ( 12 arches ) is the unfinished mausoleum of Ali Adil Shah II and is situated in the heart of the town inside a crowded lane so can be missed easily. There is no entry fee to view this monument . The tomb of the ruler along with the tombs of his family are inside the Kaman . This structure is at a walking distance from Gagan Mahal

Bara Kaman is an unfinished mausoleum. The scope and planning for the building when finished would have made it an architectural wonder of the time.

Must visit place while in Bijapur. Don't underestimate it because it's unfinished and incomplete. Just visit in the evening to avoid harsh sun

This place is open from sunrise to sunset. As the name suggests it has 12 arches. Good old ruins. Bit difficult to find a space for parking if you go by your own vehicle.

As the name suggest it is a collection of 12 kamann meaning entrance arches, which are partially complete in the city of Bijapur. this is quiet close to the Golgumbaz, which marks the architectural marvellance of the Adil Shahi dynasty kings

One of its kind that's left unfinished because of the king's death . Very captivating . The mist interesting feature about this place are it's arches . Bijapur has got some worth watching places and this is one of them .
