About
Located in the heart of the Hérault Valley, close to the UNESCO sites of the Pont du Diable and Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert, Château Capion is at once a renowned wine estate but also a place to come. • Castle and Gardens open to the public • Wine tastings at the cellar and vine trail • Tennis court • Art exposition and concerts Our 45 hectares of vineyard consist of three geological layers composed of Montpellier clay, limestone gravels and alluvial deposits. During the harvest, clusters of grapes are selected on the vine before being sorted in the cellar, which gives our wines their unique character.

We were driving in the area and decided to stop and have our picnic lunch and try some wine.

We sat in the garden in most pleasant surrounding and walked around the gardens of the Chateau. Very enjoyable.

We went to try some wines and were greeted by a wonderful lady who explained each wine. The wine was very nice and very reasonably priced.

We walked away with a bottle of Chardonnay which I am throughly enjoying now.

I had some friends visiting me so we went to do a "degustation de vin" which is free and the person who was with us was the wine maker so he was able to explain all the process and we could try some of their extraordinary wines! All the experience was highly recommended, we spend around 3h in the chateau and I would like to stay even more! Definitely a great day

A great experience! The people there are very nice and friendly. You can taste many diffrent wines and learn a lot about making wines. There is a lot to see. Begins from the winery to the chateau and the beautiful land around it. Love it and fully recommend this great place.

Truly a must see if you're near Montpellier! The historic chateau and gardens are just lovely. And don't forget the wine! Plan to spend at least a long afternoon here. Plenty to do and see.
