A must in your visit to Arecibo Area, there is the Lighthouse, Arecibo's Icon and a park for kids on the premises with adequate parking. There is a large observation area with great views. On some days the wind is very strong but usually is nice on sunny days. Just out of the park the most known Arecibo beach (Poza... More

Beautiful place to visit during the afternoon. For the most part if very breezy and the park has some things for the kids too like a splash zone. There is a deck facing the Atlantic ocean that will take anyone's breath away. The place is gorgeous and very well maintained. If you are a fan of lighthouses, if you like... More

It was about an hour drive from San Juan to the Arecibo lighthouse. Sadly, it started to rain when we got there. The place was nice. They have a play area for kids and a pool area. I thought the pool looked a bit dirty. The paint was dated. They also have an aquarium which was ok, specially for kids.... More

When you pull into the parking lot of the Arecibo Lighthouse & Historical park, I highly recommend you take a crisp, clean 20 dollar bill, light it on fire, and proceed to throw it in the trash bin at the entrance. Then, drive away. You would be doing yourself a favor by doing that; not only would it be *cheaper*... More

Great time with my family. I have two kids a one year and three year old, they loved the historical attractions, especially the Indian huts and pirate ship. The aquarium was a plus and the walk to the light was amazing. The water park was great for the kids. They loved the sprinklers and it was great way to stay... More

Visited this lighthouse with my grandson, he had a blast. They have a restaurant where you can have lunch. The view of the Atlantic Ocean is spectacular. It might be a little tricky to get there, but it's well worth it.

The lighthouse recently went under reconstruction and it has some really interesting things to see like the new aquarium and pool. It also has some huge ships that simulate the three ships in which the Spanish people came to island for the first time. At the top of the lighthouse you can have a really nice scenery for photography of... More

I went there with my 6 1/2 year old grandaughter and my 13 year old niece. There's really not that much to do there, especially for the price. When you first go in there is a replica of a Taino village with huts and petroglyphs, then there are replicas of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria, which is nice, but... More
