This is always worth the day out. As soon as you see those garden angels lining up at the front of the property, there's a sweeping of peace and calmness over coming you. I always look so forward to escaping here for a few hours - alone/ with a girlfriend or with my mom:). To walk the various paths to... More

Out for a sunny afternoon drive to explore this wondrous place. Unique gifts and creatively made decor all throughout the store. Tea House for coffee and cookies to enjoy while you visit. I'm sure the gardens are beautiful in the summer...worth the drive...

Winter Wheat has a unique charm that appeals to all ages. It's very relaxing and comforting to wander the grounds and marvel at the amazing folk art creations. I was intrigued by how someone took everyday items and made lively colourful characters out of them. My favourite is the black cat playing the saxophone. The shop is cute with nice... More

Recently moved to London; starting to explore the surrounding area. A friend mentioned Sparta and Winter Wheat, so we went and were blown away by it! The free garden / wooded grounds are full of quirky pieces of art (?) which will keep you and your kids entertained for ages. The buildings have an endless amount of pretty nice but... More

This place is a little gem, set in a wooded area it has things on sale that I have never seen before. There is an eclectic mix of items including things for the house, things to wear, garden furniture, etc. It is well worth walking through the trees in the grounds to see some of the curious tableaux doted around...all... It's a hard place to describe, but imagine a place where artistic meets recycle..Where the forest comes to life through beautiful paths and creations. And just when we thought we reached the end.... We found the "gift shop". They have the best and certainly not ordinary bird houses - for that alone it's worth a trip to meet the artist... More

Never heard of Sparta before. It was the Labor Day long weekend and we took a drive to Elgin County. It was a good 2 hrs drive from Mississauga but it was nice and no traffic. Winter Wheat was our last stop before heading home and to our big surprise, this place was just adorable. The garden was created from... More
