Fair is Fair

Visited on a very early Friday morning over the midterm.

I reserved tickets for the first session of the day and would only recommend going at either the start or the end of the day.

Capacity was perfect for the first hour, but by 11am, with 200 tickets sold each hour, the place gets very busy-very fast, so by 12 noon, it was time to go.

Kiddos (13) really enjoyed it, and I noted lifeguards everywhere, including in the water.

Overall, it's expensive for 2 hours, especially if most of the time is spent queuing so really important to get there minus the crowd.

It was our first time and i can honestly say also our last. I'm glad we only paid a discounted price for our day out in Aquazone, but I can honestly say it was not even worth that.

It is very small and there is actually very little in it to do and while it wasn't too busy when we were there, I can imagine it'll be a nightmare spending your allocated 2 hours queuing.

Many of the lockers and changing cubicles had broken locks.

There is nowhere to seat and you have no choice but to spend your entire time in the water, which is ludicrous.

The slides (according to my kids) are uneven in places and your head bounces off those segments on your way down.

The equipment looks like it hasn't been updates in decades, rust mould and dirt in many places.

It is cold, the water is too, which makes the fact you can't leave even worse.

My husband and I were literally bored out of our wits for the two hours, and I was freezing. We had to stay in the water because both of our kids were 10 and 9 and by their rules, we had to be on the premises. I understand it to an extent, but that's where a seating section would have done wonders for parents. We didn't even want to be in the water and there was nothing there to do for us, as for our kids they're both good swimmers and we're playing around the entire time, so we saw them maybe for 2 minutes.

If you wanted to go get a drink or to a coffee shop, of course you can't leave and come back.

To sum it up, it is old, restrictive, uncomfortable, over priced and offers very little. Being the only 'water park' in ireland, it's very disappointing. The kids enjoyed it, but not enough to go back. We didn't at all.

Good slides, big queues however and a lot of time wasted. Needs to be more yellow rings for the master blaster slide. Dark hole slide was the best ... but scary for an adult!! Wave feature great fun but you could miss it entirely in the space of 2 hours as there is no notification of this feature being used when it starts. Far too many people admitted especially as the sessions cross over. I recommend going either in the first slot or the last as in both of these slots there will be far less queuing for one of the hours. We went from 4-6. When the 3-5 group left, the queues went right down and the kids got lots of goes on whatever slide they wanted very easily.

We were a little anxious heading here as some of the reviews were poor and at €58 for a family pass it was expensive but we really enjoyed our visit. We booked the 10am slot and would recommend same, less crowded and no queues for the slides. Our children aged 4 and 7 had a ball. The pirate ship was fun for both of them and the wave machine was on twice during our 2 hour visit. One recommendation would to be wear no jewellery, it’s not allowed on the slides and most people didn’t know this. Hit the slides early so you can have plenty of goes before the 11am people arrive. Overall a very enjoyable morning and would fully recommend.

Life guards need to stop been so ignorant .I went on the slide with my cousin and my brother was waiting on us to come down . A life guard approached him to ask him what his name was . Which is none of his business to what my brothers name is as he was only waiting. We left the pool after half an hour as my brother was so uncomfortable by they way he was spoken to and how the life guard done it. Standing over him . I lost 52 euro of this. I would never step foot in this horrible place again. I wrote to the aqua zone regarding this matter as the life guard seemed to be implying that I was watching the children. No proper answer to this . The worst thing is I was going to book here for my cousins birthday with 100 people but I'd rather give my money to a place that is more friendly orientated.

Too many people and noone supervising queues, constant queue jumping. 1 person queueing and then 10 join in, kids were in the queue for 40 mins to go on1 slide. Adults should not be allowed on the surfing area.

We took our son here for a birthday treat on a Friday session at 3pm and our overwhelming verdict was huge disappointment. The biggest draw of the place is the Master Blaster slide which we managed to go down just once in 2 hours. We had to queue for 25 minutes for the rubber rings-there were only 4 of these in action which was woefully inadequate for the number of people there. The lifeguards at the top of the slides were completely unorganised doing little to get the queues moving more efficiently. In fact, the majority of the lifeguards looked thoroughly miserable, overly strict and completely over zealous with their whistles!
May be the experience is better out of school holidays but we definitely wouldn't recommend the place as it is now.

I love going here with my son. He’s 3 and a half and autistic so loves the sensory feeling of the water and the slides and lazy river. This should be a 4 star review because all the staff and life guards are lovely BUT it’s too cold. I feel like it’s gotten colder over the last few months. I’ve visited probably 10 times and the last 5 have been freezing. Really cold both outside the water and in it. He’s shivering by the end of it which a child should never be at an indoor water park. Please turn the heat up and you’ll have a customer for life

Disgusting, mould, rust everywhere, dirt and plasters. This place was closed for over a year for renovations and this was our first time there since the lockdowns. The place is in horrible condition, broken lockers, broken change room doors, black and green mould along the waterlines in the lazy river and on steps, we were so disgusted by the condition we left after 30 mins. The downstairs coffee dock is also horrible, coffee tastes like bath water. All this for 58 euro!! This place should be avoided at all costs.

Dirty. Outdated. Underwhelming.

It was closed for some time for what I assumed was renovation so we were excited to finally try it again, however we were left very disappointed. Nothing has changed. Fixtures & fittings are rusty, slides are discolored and dusty, half of the inflatable rings were soft, not fully inflated and discolored. The roof was dirty and the wood in the middle is worn. The seemed to have put in some sort of foam flooring around the paths to the pool areas but most of these were falling apart.

The place needs a good clean from top to bottom. A repaint. Replacing old and damaged fixtures. Upgrade slides.

It’s expensive too. Nearly €60 for a family of 3. They have this one way system in place now which makes no sense post Covid.

Just a disappointing and frustrating day. We won’t be returning.
