乙末保台和平紀念公園原為八卦山抗日烈士紀念碑公園，但歷經多年園區內多處設施遭受破壞，樹木茂盛繁雜，降低遊客入園意願，彰化縣政府因而重新規劃設計園區景觀，並增加其設施且更名為乙末保台和平紀念公園。
