About
Growing and making tea since 1880 The journey of Yoshan Tea can be read hand in hand with the history of Taiwanese Dong Ding oolong. Oolong has been cultivated on Dong Ding Mountain as early as the mid-19th century, when local villagers started harvesting “qing xin oolong" in preference to the native “wild tea”. By this time, the Chen family of Yoshan Tea were already knee-deep in their exploration of Taiwanese oolong. It is now Yoshan Tea’s mission to preserve and continue the art of making this classic tea.

Knowledgable staff and European style

We were not expecting much of this place given my usual thoughts of attractions in Taiwan but this place is a rose amongst thorns.
The premises is modern and clean, really good to understand tea in Taiwan.
The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful also not trying to push you into a sale.
Very European standard and would recommend this place.

Just another shopping stop over.

Impressive building is all I can say. I was expecting to see a tea farm but instead this establishment is located right in an industrial area. I don't think the locals will shop here and the design of the building is purely to attract tourists. Credits given to the effort for building a museum like environment which is very informative for those unfamiliar with Chinese tea. There's free tea sampling but the whole idea is to attract you to buy their tea which is not cheap. My opinion on the quality of their tea is only average.

Tea tasting
Nov 2015 • Couples
A great opportunity to sample main types of Formosa teas: oolong mainly, but also ruby and black. And also to learn to brew the teas the right Taiwanese way. Small but informative tea museum, very friendly personnel. You can have all this for free but are expected to buy there teas. They are not cheap but the value is still good given the quality. Don't offer tips - they will not take it.
Recommended.
