The free walking tour was an amazing experience. Even though on the day it was raining, we were still able to visit all the sights intended for the tour plan. Our tour guide James was probably the best tour guide I have ever come across, especially for a free walking tour. The group was quote big, however, James himself was quite resonant, and we could hear him very well. Also a great funny and enthusiastic guide, he easily gets a 5 star rating from me. I'm not sure if it's different for each guide, but he did take us to an ice cream shop, which is hidden away upstairs, most likely difficult to find for tourists. But if he does take you there, definitely try out the custard apple ice cream flavour, a bit pricey, but worth the buy (also dairy free for all your lactose intolerant peeps).

Don't be shy, as you'll also meet many other people from around the world as well, and make travel friends, or maybe even lifelong friends!

We went on the Old Town Walking Tour with James. This was not our first visit to Taipei but our first as a tourist.James was GREAT!
He was entertaining, educational and engaging and the group of us had a wonderful time.He was passionate yet personal in walking us through this country’s past and present.
Not expecting to learn anything,I actually left the tour with so much.
Thank you James!

Out tour guides were very friendly and informative. They made sure to talk to everyone and answer further questions if we had any. They were effective in making sure everyone in the group felt comfortable. We really had a great time in the Old Tapei Walking Tour.

We did the old town tour, and it were 2.5h well spent. Our guide Mo was very knowledgeable, with a perfect English, so he was easy to understand. The explanations and stories about history and places were all very interesting. He knows also a lot and could answer all of our questions. Highly recommended!

Joined Peggy for a private tour of lantern making and walk to see the Shifen Waterfalls. Learned about the area and laughed a lot. Peggy was super knowledgeable and really fun. Despite the rain, we had a great day and witnessed nature's beauty first hand. Highly recommend this tour for families and those wanting to get out of the city but not go too far. The length of time was perfect. Thanks to Peggy for finding us some authentic Taiwanese food where the locals go too.

I went on the Chill Taipei walking tour. They shared interesting information about the city and the culture. Didn't really go too far in-depth on anything in particular but they introduced us to some cool neighborhoods, history and it was free. Definitely get that scallion pancake from the street vendor with the long line.

Nothing is very far from anything else in Taipei, which makes it a great place for walking. The National Taiwan University Hospital MRT Station adjoins the notable 2-28 Peace Memorial Park. The Zhongshan area abounds in places of interest, including the Presidential Office, which dates from the Japanese colonial era (1895-1945). This walking tour will help orient you and after all, it's free.

Excellent tours by personable and well informed guides. They provided interesting insights into the history and current situation in Taipei. And as a bonus took the group to good food spots in the capital. Highly recommended!

To say that Vicky and Jack did an awesome job is an understatement. My friends and I had fun hearing their stories and interesting history facts. We even were asked to try their bitter tea and their beauty tea. It was something. The Longshan Temple was breathtaking in architecture and history. If we had more time, we would not have minded taking their other walking tours. Thank you TourMeAway.

We had Cindy as our your guide - a small tour of 7. I have been to Taipei many times for work and tour, but first time joining a walking tour which took me to Daan park, Yong An streets, local small shops and finally the beautiful Chang Ka Shek Memorial Hall to see the change of guards. Cindy is really friendly and gave tips of night markets, shopping and eating. Will certainly try their other tours in my next trip to Taipei.
