It costs $1 USD and is currently being renovated, there are still some very interesting exhibits on the native Taiwanese, elephants, microfossils and the history of Taiwan and the founders of the ecological institutes in Taiwan.

This is a longish walk from most main hotels but there is an MRT station right next to the museum. You are looking at about 25 NTD for the train fare (one way) and 30 NTD to get in. Well worth it at that price....More
