Liberty Square faces the Chiang Kai-shek (CKS) Memorial Hall. It is often used for civic occasions where a large number of people assemble . Liberty Square is very impressive . Apart from the CKS Hall, it is flanked by the National Theatre and the National Concert Hall. The main entrance is via the impressive traditional gates.

The Freedom Square of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a square within the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall campus. It is named after the inscription "Freedom Square" on the plaque at the main entrance of the park. This is my second time coming to Liberty Square. For people who live in central China, although they often hear about Liberty Square, they may not come here. This time I went to Taipei for a meeting and stopped by to take photos of the night reflection, but because I didn’t have it, It was impossible to take pictures because of the stagnant water, but with the two courtyards in the Liberty Square, it was still beautiful to take pictures.

Liberty Square is the forecourt to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. It is used for civic rallies, where large numbers of people assemble. In days gone by, itw was mainly used for patriotic gatherings. Liberty Square is impressive, it's still used for mass events.

A must. The Square houses many landmarks, which includes the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the National Theater & Concert Hall. Well kept and clean. This prominent public space in Taipei serves as a significant gathering place for the public. Also used for concerts and other things. When I was there, they appeared to be setting up for some event. Your likely to come here anyway when in Taipei to see one of the above landmarks.

This square was named Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Square when it first opened, but renamed to its present name after the Taiwanese transition to democracy. The place is busy and that’s not surprising considering the stunning buildings that surround 3 sides of the square, including the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall.

It is an impressive square. With four gates leading to the large open air square (close to 2,600,00 square feet), the square is a very magnificent place. The National Chiang Kai-Shem Memorial Hall, National Concert Hall, and National Concert Hall are facing the square.
Liberty Square remains popular as a public gatherings place and New Year celebrations as well as demonstrations for democracy.
After 40-years of martial law, the leaders of existing government realized that the cost of political oppression, including unlawful detentions, torture, and murder must come to an end. After the many demonstrations and protests, martial law and emergency rule were finally lifted.
I am standing in the middle of Liberty Square and a symbol of DEMOCRATIC PROGRESS.

Hi we are visiting Taiwan on April. I am aware that Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall opens at 9 am. Can we like explore the area earlier? Like 8 am the Liberty square? So when CKS opens we can easily go in. And just to maximize time because we have a flight at noon.
