Steam no more

Aug 2020

Not too long ago, everyone in Taiwan went by steam. If you wanted to go anywhere in Taiwan, you took the train, steam train that is. This locomotive is in good condition, and worth a look.

Static steam train and carriage on West side of Taipei Main Station. Can see inside engine room, but cannot access engine or carriage. May be interesting for train buffs and a quick photo opportunity when passing by.

Ok everyone, do not get exited (unless your a train aficionado). The steam locomotive is situated right outside the Taipei Main train station. I believe outside the East doors. Nicely preserved and clean.

Not expecting to see a steam train!

We got dropped off at the station as we took a bus to from the airport to the city centre. While walking around we came across a pristine steam train bright yellow. Definitely a good time to take a picture or 2 of this beautiful piece of machinery!

Just a few old train cars outside the station

You can find a few old train cars outside the station on permanent display. Nice, but nothing too exciting really... Kids liked but got bored after 5 minutes...

There is a steam locomotive outside of Taipei station building. If you are a train lover, it is worth taking a look. As I had to wait for my train, I went to take pictures.
