One of the glories of Taiwan
Aug 2021
Taiwan is known for it's high-tech economy, but one of its most efficient and reliable enterprises is Chunghwa Post. The post office has changed little since the Japanese colonial era (1895-1945), delivering letters and packages to all corners of Taiwan. The Taipei Post Office is an imposing building in the North Gate area that dates from 1930. The postal service remains the most reliable and economical means os sending items around the island. It's a service that Taiwan can be proud of.

The pride of Taiwan
Mar 2021
Chunghwa Post, as Taiwan's postal service is known, is something the Republic of China (ROC) can be proud of. It is very reliable and the service is speedy. Chunghwa Post carries mail aound the island and overseas. The Taipei Post Office is in the Beimen (North Gate) area. The Taipei Post Office also supervises the 143 Post Offices in the Taipei area. Chunghwa Post also provides banking services for customers.

Dull, but safe and reliable
Nov 2020
The Taipei Post Office dates from 1930, when Japan still ruled Taiwan. It is a rather plain four storey building in the Beimen (North Gate) area of Taipei.. It is the supervising post office for the 143 post offices in the Taipei area. Chunghwa Post carries a lot of mail; the postal system in Taiwan has the reputation for being safe and reliable.

Old-time post office endures the years
Aug 2020
The Postal Service is one of Taiwan's glories. Your mail will get to its destination quickly and reliably. The stamps are attractive and well worth collecting. Mail is often still the best way to get letters and documents to overseas destinations.

Administrative Efficiency
Jul 2019 • Couples

A large long (multistory) building which provides for all possible postal services required on the ground floor. Very quiet inside, exemplifying efficiency.

Taipei Post Office.
Mar 2019 • Business
This huge Post Office extends for a considerable distance, and consists of totally separate areas for sales, postal services, banking etc. Service is by means of a ticket even if no-one is waiting at that counter, and is very slow and laborious as if from a former age! Exchanging foreign money is possible, but at a far worse rate than at any nearby Bank !

Mar 2018 • Family

Interesting

This place was originally not in our itinerary for places to visit in Taipei.

We actually went to the post office branch near Taipei Main Station, but the employee told us that there was an event at the main branch & even show us where to take bus to the main post office.

We were surprised at the special n rare types of stamps in the world, some were made from rice grain, some were embroidery ...impressive! There were even first day cover of Teresa Teng! It is not a wasted trip for us! 😊 we actually enjoyed this museum.

I bought 3 books at the event @300 Twd.
We also manage to go to "金峰" to eat the braised pork rice n other side dishes, which is located nearby. Very tasty.
