Close to our hotel, we had to go and experience this night market. We were told that due to the insanely small living quarters in Taipei, most flats do not have kitchens, thus the locals take their meals sitting on stools on the side of...More

One of the various night markets in Taipei, it has clothes, souvenirs, gadgets, produce and food stalls so you can get most things you need in one place. The later it gets, the more crowded it becomes so if you can I would recommend going...More

I go through this market every time I stay in Taipei because it is just out the back door of my hotel (Aloft). Great local snacks, very casual and cheap.

Near my hotel, we walked about 15 minutes to this night market. About two blocks worth of street vendors, mixed with some stores provides a nice place for quick dinner. One of the smaller ones, its easy to navigate and finish if you do not...More

This place was pretty much only food. A very small night market in comparison to the others. Had a very "local" feel because of its size. Wasn't terribly crowded around 9PM. Seemed like a bunch of local people coming in to grab a bite to...More

Local market with clothes, homeware and food. Not very crowded but very nice (they don't sell as many commercial items as markets like shilin night market).

Conveniently located to the Aloft hotel, this market actually runs all day, and has a nice selection of local foods and snacks. Try the onion pancake - so tasty!

Im being a bit unfair here. I visited late afternoon. Not really "night market". Some store holders were set and trading already, others wheeling in the portable kitches. Actually a fun thing to witness. So, it wasnt anywhere near in full swing.... But the pork...More

It's definitely not one of the touristy nightmarkets one comes to associate with Taipei. We only saw a handful of people who didn't look like locals. The middle part is mostly the sit-down section where they serve soup and viands. As much as we wanted...More

We stayed at and Airbnb near here and ventured out there our first night. It's small enough to see everything and try just about everything as well. The boiled dumplings were amazing and had a huge crowd. If you don't know what it is, it...More
