I visited the museum today with high expectations, but instead found nearly all the galleries closed. Only 1 gallery on the 3rd floor was open. They were not charging an admission fee, which might be due to the lack of exhibits?
The aim of contemporary art is to surprise, and this renovated gallery is surprising. The foyer has a stunning exhibit, the like of which I have never seen before. The exhibits have English captions; I say exhibits, as most of the works of art are...More
This museum is huge! We went from room to room in the basement and I doubt I saw even half of what was down there. When we went there was an exhibition called "Ecosystems" which was a perfect marriage of the sciences, the environmental movement...More
The day we visited there were 2 events: artworks of Taiwan famous artist - Hsia Yan and a photograph exhibition. Carefully preparation and display. Some groups of children and old people come to visit. It was very good.

I have only given this museum "average" because it was almost empty when I visited.

The children section definitely is suitable but a bit small, however some of the adult museum is also suitable, however my two year old got into touching things and then had a bit of a fit so I took him to the fusball room. There is a room to draw in the children's section and two other rooms they can run around in. The best part is the musical bamboo room which they are feee to bang things in. The cafe is also on this floor so they can always eat.
