Every year at noon during the summer solstice, the sun shines right into the slits on the Tropic of Cancer. At this time, tourists can experience the phenomenon of shadowlessness under the sun. This is what we get from the Tourism Board webpage. However, during our visit it is still winter and the stopover is less attractive except for the statue of the Tropic of Cancer Marker. Like what some reviews mentioned earlier, if you are passing by and you have the time, it is ok to stopby for a pic or two. Else, it will not be worthy to purposely travel afar to this place except if it is during Summer Solstice.

Was in Ruisui and drove by this landmark. Things like this exist everywhere (such as the westernmost tip of Europe, the southernmost point of Asia, etc.). You know you've reached somewhere on an important latitude and that's all. It's okay to pass by and see it but I guess there's no need to drive all the way for it.

It's hard to get too enthusiastic about this. It's a fine modern structure to mark this point of geographical interest, but once you've taken a photo of it and a selfie, there's not much else to say about it, or to do there.

I suppose it would be fascinating to be there at the specific time/day to see the effect of being "shadowless". Otherwise, just drive pass.

This is a large boundary marker along the roadway. If you happen to be passing by it is worth a stop to see but it is not worth going out of your way to see this.

Another landmark to remind us about astronomy and zodiac. Nice to stop to learn some astronomy and zodiac knowledge. Once again, it’s great that we self drive during the weekdays to avoid crowd to fully enjoy the peaceful environment and harmony atmosphere.

This Tropic of Cancer is worth a stopover visit. Spend about 30 minutes here to enjoy the view of Pacific Ocean right across the road and have some beautiful photos taken.

Our tour made a quick stop here so we can have some photo opportunities, toilet break, and of course some afternoon snacks. It was a hot day but the breeze from the ocean was fabulous. Fresh fruits, grilled meats and squids, freshly squeezed fruit juice makes this place a popular stop for tourists. This place is great for photo opportunities, but I am not that excited about it.

It's a perfect stop after spending hours on your vehicle. Not many people were here when we arrived, the view is amazing. There might not be a lot to see except the white pillar, but I find it just enough for an attraction along the Huadong highway. Sometimes the simpler a place is the more beautiful it appears, I was very glad that we made a stop here.

Too many buses. Too many people. Made a quick stop to observe the monument. Left the scene as quick as possible. The views by the ocean are better
