This bakery produces a variety of German cakes and pastries in the GMP standard production lines and the showroom displays their product for souvenir sales plus free flow of self-help soda water and coffee machines. Prices are reasonable and buying is entirely optional. We bought 4 packets for our Xmas/New Year goodies stock!

Even if these are not part of our original itenerary, the guide asked if we were interested to visit, after going through agrioz where we had the diy preserved fruit experience. Unlike those factory visits in mainland china, there are no pushy guides, no stubborn sales staff, no arrogant personnel. We came here and saw a production line of a red bean cake. Then went through a lof of displays with taste samples. A lot were excellent, and the staff on the displays were helpful.

The great thing? No pressure to buy, prices were reasonable, and you can leave without spending a single cent yet have a happy tummy.

The bad thing is the typical short shelf life which also mean not much artificial preservatives.

Nice big cake factory with cake baked on the spot and all variety available for tasting. Also provides a display area for for the cake making demonstration.

There was a few big tour groups when we were there so there was a queue for the free coffee.

Tip: if you are visiting YiLan and the Rden cake shop, consider also visiting AGRIOZ cafe & museum, with DIY and snacks as it's just along the same road.

This cake factory is located on the outskirts of the Yi Lan city.

It is a stop for the locals. They served us very generous sample of their products, cakes and biscuits.

We even tried their ice creams. With an additional NT$30, it came with a waffle cup, and also with pieces of cakes and biscuits to look like a rabbit. A delight for the kids.

They also provided free plain soda drinks and hot dispensed coffee. In the end, we even bought some cakes and biscuits.

The Athenian Fruit Factory is not far from the Orange Country Prefecture Museum in Yilan City. You can visit both locations together. The parking lot here is very large, and it is easy to park whether it is a tour bus or a passenger car. There is free coffee during the shutdown, as well as illustrations of coffee knowledge. There is a comfortable briefing room where guests can learn about the process of baking cakes at the Athenian Fruit Factory through briefing videos. Through interactive tours, interesting cake stories from various countries are introduced, and visitors are taken on a tour of baking allusions around the world to learn the magic secrets of turning eggs, flour, and sugar into exquisite and delicious cakes. You can buy your favorite pastries and souvenirs here.
