Jimi Square is about 200m walk away from Yilan Train Station to the left of the main exit and within walking distance. Walking from the train station to Jimi Square allows you to walk by some local handicraft vendors with unique local handicraft products including leather goods or aluminium foil made toys.

Alone the short walk you will also walk-by the local tourist information center and old abandoned bus station that is nicely maintained and provides good shelter on a heated day.

Jimi Square itself is not huge and is immediately across from a big outdoor ground park filled with grass for kids to run around.

Jimi Square has some very unique sculptures and colourful paintings that my kids really enjoyed spending times In the Square for a good 30-40 minutes but in the middle of the day under the heated sun we all find the heat too much and had to leave to find shelter to recuperate and rehydrate.

After Jimi Square I would recommend to walk walk back toward the Yilan Train Station and visit the across the street nice large colourful train hung from the ceiling.

Love the place (when it is not crowded and the weather is good) 幾米廣場 is where you will find pictures from picture book came to life...sculptures that is. This is another great photo stop for all...especially lovers! And it is nice place for families too. Walk

I do not understand why this place is rated as the No. 1 attraction in Yilan. Most of the statues consist of oversized bags. There are very few things to actually take pictures of and most of it is faded. Don't make this place your main reason for coming to Yilan - just have a quick look if you are near the train station.

With all due respect to popular local illustrator, Jimmy Liao, Jimi Square is simply lackadaisical.

It’s just a small park bordering the main road and old rail tracks with worn out / dull coloured (i.e. poorly maintained) caricatures from his works. One can cover the park in 5 mins and that speaks heaps about this Yilan “attraction”.

Fortunately we came here to kill time while other half of our travelling party was busy at the LEGO park.

If you have this place as a highlight of your Yilan itinerary, do thing thrice.

It is just a small park at the side of the railway. Just a couple of worn out caricatures, don't understand why so many tourists like to take photos there. It's overrated for me.

A very simple park with some spots for kids to take photo. Location wise, it's very convenient. Just 5-10min walking distance from Yilan Station. Can spend half an hour there to take some photo.

Opposite the Jimmy Square, there are some small stalls with quite nice food.

Area is not large and can be viewed in half hour or max an hour. There is a vending machine where you can buy postcards with Jimi images on them and post them in the mailbox provided

It's very close to the train station so highly accessible. No admission fee. Lots of interesting things to see on both sides of the street. If you are a Jimi-fan, very interesting decoration and statutes to see. There are some small paints clustered in an area where the ruined walls are so quite a sight

It s a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place with lovely fine arts. There is a 幾米 postcard machine. Remember to bring a pen and write a post card. There is a mailing post next to the machine. Postal fee is free.
