There is the mighty New Mountain, and the poetically named and fairy tale-like dream lake are favorites of travelers. Reputed as “ Sijhih back garden”, Dajian mountain blooms with different glamor with the seasons. Cyclers love to challenge Wuzhi mountain, reaching high and peering into the extensive and enchanting night view is worth an experience. In addition, maple watching sight “Gongbeidian” has a seasonal scenery with a valley of red maples. The rustic and elegant temple set off with leaves of red is a sight that cannot be missed. Besides natural sceneries, the traditional long street houses of Sijhih Old Street is also an important sight. Here was once known as “ The Street of Sijhih”, with a glimpse of past glamor still to be seen. There are many long-running stores still remaining, and is one of the precious cultural heritages of Sijhih.

Gongbei Temple, located at the suburban of New Taipei, is a quiet temple with great nature and sculptures. I like to pastime in the weekend to slow my pace down.
The is a small hill behind the temple worth climbing. It is beginner level, don't worry you will make it to the top.

This hundred years old temple is perched on top of a hill with a good view of Xizhi , looks like you have ventured into japan especially during winter time where the maple trees changes color, lots of crowds gather here on weekends to absorb the beautiful view through their lens, if you really want to enjoy a calm afternoon then its better to come on weekdays where you can enjoy this place almost to yourself
