It's a bit of a ride outside the city but this is a phenomenal building. The campus is also nice for a stroll but it's a quick stop.

Taichung has several universities such as Providence, Asia and this Tunghai University. ALl different in character and style. Tunghai campus is beautiful, with lots of green, buildings in old Chinese style, and the Luce Memorial chapel built by Pei who has just passed away 16 May 2019.

I was told that they have an impressive university - a chapel within and even a farm? It was raining when I got there so I didn't manage to view the farm, but I did take some pictures of the pretty looking chapel and caught sight of the buildings (classrooms, cafeteria, etc) which brings you back to olden, traditional times. Nothing very wow in my opinion - I'd give it a miss if you have someplace else in mind.

You can try or take a cab there. The main attraction point is the Chapel. Beautifully design but with small kid something is quite difficult, will suggest to bring a good stroller as it is quite a distance from main gate walk to the Chapel (uber or taxi are not allow to go in the campus). Good place to take photo.

Tunghai (it means East Sea) University is a christian university in Taichung. It is a little bit outside of city, but it is easily accessible by bus. The campus is beautiful like a park. The main attraction is however its chapel. It is worth spending a half day and relaxing yourself.
