My tour guide was with Tina and we started off from the food market having a brief culture of the foods to the street foods and restaurants. The places we went weren't really well known to the foreigners (like myself) and they were surprisingly good! Each and every places we went were amazing! We were joined with Anna, a colleague of Tina's, during our second stop and it felt more like hanging out with friends instead of a tour. Basically that was my food for the day! Highly recommend this to anyone going to Taipei and do come with an empty stomach!

This is a fantastic introduction to the variety of foods available in a Taiwanese night market! Yansan Night Market is a great location - it's a true old school night market. There aren't touts or cheap souvenirs or carnival games here, just good foods that have been here for generations. The food choices are well thought out and range from "everyday foods" (rice sausage) to "exotic gross out" (cow penis). There were seven stops, so make sure to pace yourself! Despite being born in the US to Taiwanese parents, and having visited Taiwan several times before, there were still many foods new to me and never would've thought to try. Ann was a fun and wonderful guide - her culinary background really enhanced the experience with detailed descriptions of how the foods were made and also why they were popular. She also had relationships with many vendors that ensured prompt service even when many of them were very busy. This is also a small group experience (limit 4), and in my case it was essentially a private tour as the tour is run even if there is only 1 booking. This is a great way to spend an early evening! Recommended!

Wow what an experience! We booked the iconic food tour and our tour was led by Michael. He was lots of fun, took us to some amazing places and made us fall in love with Taipei. I braved the stinky tofu...not as bad as you’d imagine. I’m glad I tried it. I’m so glad I booked the tour and will def book another one with Taipei Eats next time I’m in the city.

Just finished the Iconic Food Tour with Taipei Eats - we had a blast! Our tour guide Diego made our tour a real treat. His enthusiasm for food and Taipei shine through and made this a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We started out touring a local market sampling things as we went and then progressed to several restaurants to try local specialties! You will not go home hungry! We had so much amazing food and learned a lot about Taipei and it’s food culture. Having been fortunate enough to have enjoyed food tours around the world I can comfortably say this is one of the best! Thanks so much Diego for such a great night!

We had a fantastic time on our guided food tour. We live in Taipei since 6 months and tried a lot of Taiwanese food before, but still discovered new delicious dishes and snacks. Can highly recommend this tour. Our guide Diego was amazing! He made the tour very special and fun.
