Great place to visit
Aug 2019
It is a very wonderful place to visit because there are so many activities in every year, for example, Yilan International Children's Folklore And Folkgame Festival is coming, it is not only for children, but also for someone really wants to play in the water, and there is a center of traditional arts. As a student from Yilan, I really think it is a good place to go.

Great Cycling place!
Dec 2018 • Family
The best way to enjoy this river feature is through cycling. We rented bicycles (usual price NT100 per pax for a full day) at the shop on the main road that leads to the park and cycled on the flat tracks on both sides of the river. It is also suitable for kids on training wheel bikes. We enjoyed it to much that we returned to following day to cycle the tracks in the other directions. The only drawback is the early 6pm sunset and lack of lights along most of the tracks.

Excellent waterpark
Aug 2018 • Family
With Taiwanese manners, everyone keeps their tables clean - lots of space and rides; and ample changing facilities, food, drinks, and the water park has party hosts who help the summer party atmosphere with music, giant inflatables, group games!

Disappointing
Jun 2018 • Couples
We hired some bikes but it was difficult to find out where to go and where the possible riding areas were.

Get a bike and ride along the banks
Mar 2018 • Family
The park is along the Dongshan river. One can walk, jog or bike in the park and the river banks.
One can also view migratory birds.

There is a water fountain and children can play in them during the summer.

A Comforting Respite
Nov 2017 • Friends
After a day of sightseeing and lots of walking, Dongshan River Water Park was a very comfortable place to rest. A slight breeze from the river added to the enjoyment of watching the joggers and looking at the homes along the banks. Capped off by a short boat ride to the National Center of Traditional Art made for a memorable experience.

Water Fun
Jul 2016 • Family
Dongshan River Water Park tends to be really busy during weekends in summer. Loads of people try to cool down so it's quite crowded then. Most of the attractions are quite accessible, except for the huge water slide for which you have to line up at least 20 to 30 minutes. Make sure to bring a blanket or anything else to sit on the grass in the shade of a tree and your own picnic. The food on offer is very limited and mediocre.

Only saw from the boat
Jul 2016 • Friends
The canal boat ride from the centre of traditional arts takes you here. We only had time 15mins to sit and watch from the wharf it looked a lot if fun, although very busy on a Monday it is summer and there are crowds everywhere.
It had cows that sprayed water everywhere and a big fish that did the same. You can find it easily by the balloons in the air as you get yilan city. They have figure of a person on a bicycle lower down the ballon strings when you get closer. Seems to be appealing to older and young children as well as adults , you can hire boats & also go for a sail on the canal . As we did not go in don't know if good value for money

Relaxing and open
Mar 2016 • Couples
A walk in the park. A mix of green space with art. Watching the boat rolling training along the river could be a very relaxing past-time. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, especially with kids as the part is quite geared toward young folks. The only bad point I can see is that they allow scooters on the walkway which destroy the tranquility of otherwise a very peaceful place.
