The park is along the Dongshan river. One can walk, jog or bike in the park and the river banks.
One can also view migratory birds.
There is a water fountain and children can play in them during the summer.

As I stayed at Full Sweet Inn, I could walk here early in the morning before breakfast. It is very peaceful for morning walk and there is a bicycle rental shop at the entrance. The complete route is 19 km and the route is flat and along the river. It should be fun to cycle here. There is a children's playground here as well so it would be very suitable for family outing with the kids. One can take the boat to the traditional Centre for National Art here. Ride is 15 mins and costs NT$75 per adult.

It's good for picnic, nothing great about the place. As you can tell by name it's a river park. Nothing you can expect more than a river with clean good surroundings. It's a good spot for a family picnic. Quite and good place to relax.

Reached this place by ferry from the cultural centre. Walked around and saw the Dinosaur statues. clicked some really nice pictures, Rented a 4 person "quadcycle" and enjoyed peddling around for a couple of hours. Nice view with big giant swings in this park. Also this park is along the river, and canoeing and rafting is also available.

It's during the weekday in March, there weren't too crowded. The staff of bike rental inside the park wasn't too friendly. There is a bike rental outside the Park ticket booth.

Coming from a country where parks are abundant, this one is indeed nothing special. But looking back, we were still very grateful of coming here. We cycled 20+km both inside the park and return journey from Luodong city to the park. The view was fantastic, peaceful water fields, white mini crane-like birds flying around, and most importantly, there were hardly any person !
However, we would definitely wear face masks when cycling inside the city. The exhausts from the scooters and cars are such a drawback for such a beautiful place.

It is a very wonderful place to visit because there are so many activities in every year, for example, Yilan International Children's Folklore And Folkgame Festival is coming, it is not only for children, but also for someone really wants to play in the water, and there is a center of traditional arts. As a student from Yilan, I really think it is a good place to go.

The best way to enjoy this river feature is through cycling. We rented bicycles (usual price NT100 per pax for a full day) at the shop on the main road that leads to the park and cycled on the flat tracks on both sides of the river. It is also suitable for kids on training wheel bikes. We enjoyed it to much that we returned to following day to cycle the tracks in the other directions. The only drawback is the early 6pm sunset and lack of lights along most of the tracks.
