It was a short visit as we have a flight to catch but we definitely enjoyed it. We strolled quickly around the zoo for only 1.5 hours so we just visited selected areas like the temperate zone animal area, Africa and Australia animal areas. Of...More

I actually enjoyed my visit in Taipei zoo alone though it was very hot. Was able to see the pandas, koala, wolf, and penguins! There’s a lot resting areas in the zoo and water refilling stations.

I agree with some writers here that visiting this zoo is a whole day affair or maybe a 5hrs affair like it was for me. 😀 Entry is via tickets which is cheap at NT60 or if you own an easy card you can use...More

Good and nice place to visit in taipe, i was surprised, just for a small amount of NT$60, you can go around the whole place. It was also a nice thing to know that this is the biggest zoo in asia.

Spend a whole day on Sunday. Easycard(more convenient) for entrance fee shuttle bus within the zoo. There are few stations for rest and drink. There is water dispenser at few rest stops. The labelling in the zoo is very clear. Make it easy to know...More

This zoo is huge. If you’re planning a trip, make it for the whole day. We went here in the afternoon and didn’t have enough time to see all the animals. Highlight of the zoo is of course, the panda. There’s a limited viewing time...More

This happened to me on my recent stay in Taipei, so I headed over to the Taipei Zoo and was not disappointed. As a nearly-thirty woman travelling solo, it was a TON of fun. I can only imagine it would also be great going with...More

Such a huge zoo set in lovely gardens on a steep mountain. Entrance fee so cheap! Whilst exhibits clearly ageing, animals obviously healthy and well looked after. Large new area under construction. This is a full day activity. Pandas are the drawcard here, but we...More

Well laid out zoo. Lots to see. They had a monstrous corpse plant in bloom! Lots of Asian species. Animals well cared for.

If you don't want to take the gondola, you may go straight to the ticketing booth of the Taipei Zoo. And ride a train going to the top station and walk from their. Hope this helps.

Am sorry but I didn't go to Elephant mountain. But From Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall (green line), you take the red line ( going to Xiangshan) and alight to DAAN STATION and transfer to BROWN LINE to Taipei Zoo.
