After reading my guidebook I had the impression that this street is a must-see. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. Of course it's a historic place and they did a lot to recontruct the street and the buildings. But it was a kind of lifeless....More

I found this ancient street from a tour guide book and ventured out with the family by following the map and instructions. The ancient street is very nearby the Longshan Temple and Longshan MRT Station and about a quick 10 minute walk around the old...More

Not much to do here. You can find here a museum which describes the old days of Taipei, we didn’t find it interesting. The place is very closed to Longshun temple.

bustling commercial district with more traditional buildings; Close to the night market area is the quarter with the most ancient buildings in Taipei

there is very little in it, just an art gallery and a shop or two, but nice and quirky so glad i went back when it was open because they actually close the whole street when the shops are closed (including Monday)!

Stumbled onto this place after a short visit to LungShan temple. I was walking aimlessly nearby when I saw a group of students running about and filling up work sheets. So as I turned about and entered from a side entrance and found this ancient...More

I was there with a local tour guide, the architecture itself has many unique characters. There were film and fine art exhibitions there, very authentic Japanese-Western influenced area. Worth going even just for taking good pictures.

I was amazed...because I expected to See An ancient street. But what I saw was a deserted small street which even did not look old. I would not spend my time here. In Taipei are nicer things to do.

It’s one of the best preserved Qing dynasty relics in Taiwan. About 20 charming red bricks constructed shop-houses. BUT they were all empty. It’s such a shame that taiwan doesn’t turn these into a tourist hub as it has so much potential and could well...More

The building from the street looks like a nice period building with lots of wooden doors and stands out versus the retail shops and apartments in the neighborhood. Various parts of the building were open and we were able to explore. We immediately noticed some...More
