My wife and I came here to surf. The beach is immaculate. There is not a piece of trash to be seen for miles. Kudos to the folks maintaining this beach. The sand is some of the finest we've experienced anywhere, and we've visited a lot of beaches.

Check the weather report prior to visiting this area. The wave brakes were sporadic due to a northeastern front during our visit. Nevertheless, we very much enjoyed our visit here. There are numerous shops in the area that will rent surfboards, boogie boards, and wetsuits for very fair prices.

Definitely worth a visit if you enjoyed being in the water. Use the Mr. Brown coffee shop as a landmark for your drive.

Very easy to head to Wushin harbor, just take a bus from Taipei, take around 40 mins only. You could rent surfing board here, also here have surfing coach you can entrust.
Safe and nature harbor you must be visited.

Located next to the Langyang Museum, the port is a place for seafood lovers. Not only the restaurants around (which doesn't come with a high score on food, well we didn't try so cannot confirm) but the restaurants on the 21st floor of the Wushih port fisheries center can be many choices for a seafood lunch or dinner.
After having lunch in one of the restaurants on the 1st floor, we wonder around the shops on ground floor and got a bag of tasty cuttlefish balls too. It was so tasty we can't even have enough only to be limited by stomach capacity.
Walking around the port area is a good after meal activity too.

We just walk pass the entrance of this harbour, which is opposite the Lanyang Museum.

Quite a nice view.

if you go in the morning before noon, the fresh fishballs of different variety are still warm as they are just made and cooked. The fish floss is great here too. Its the place to get tickets to the island but its closed in Dec..

It's a famous surf spot in north Taiwan. People can surf at all seasons. The waves are great, and it's clean here. Sometimes there are some surfing events. It's a good choice for beginners or masters.
