Mountain has a good view of night sky
Mar 2021
This picturesque park is a highlight of Taoyuan City. It lies between the central area of Taoyuan and the suburb of Guishan. "Hutou" means "tiger head" in Mandarin Chinese. The mountain has a number of interesting features, including cherry trees which bloom in spring. There are also playgrounds and BBQ facilities. There is a good view of the night sky from the mountain, it's something of a lovers' haunt. By the way Taoyuan, literally translated, means "the peach orchard."

Picturesque park has famous temple
Oct 2020
Hutou Mountain Park is a highlight of Taoyuan city. The park is quite rugged, but has hiking trails. There is a Confucian academy; the park also has a traditional temple where a number of gods are worshipped. My brother-in-law took us there in his car; transport is not always convenient.

Alluring Views
Jun 2019 • Friends
Come here with friends to see all the views. Long trails but enjoyable with temples and other arts and statues. When you reached the higher level you will see a dragon fountain and some statues. It also offer a view of Taoyuan City since the park is in the higher level. Very clean park. Kudos!

Normal park
Jul 2018 • Family
Googled kids activities in Taoyuan and this park came out as one of top ten kids' attraction on a Taiwanese website.
Turns out it's an average park with slides and swings. Played soap bubbles and ate ice cream.
Simple fun.

Understand it's a huge park but it's too hot to venture uphill.

No taxi. Had to call uber.

Don't go at night, nice views
Nov 2017 • Friends
We went there in the early evening, and due to it being the year end winter season previously, we couldn't see much of the park. There are very few number of overhead lights so if possible it's better to go there earlier in the day.

Nice hiking trail though, you can go there for a leisure walk and enjoy the views. Pretty windy on the top of the hill.

Nice park, beautiful temples.
Jan 2018 • Solo
This is an opportunity to see how locals spend their Saturday. A lot of people are doing a lot of different things - hiking, kids playing at the playground, groups of people exercise (or dance) in the park. Temples are very beautiful. A number of great viewpoints.

Worth a visit
Dec 2016 • Couples
This was a beautiful park. Full of great trails. None really too daunting. Of course a couple of trails seemed randomly roped off for construction with no clear way around.

Great Park and beautiful temple
Nov 2016 • Friends
Beautiful Buddhist temple sat atop a hill clothed in forests. The lower park area has children's play equipment and plenty of great places to sit with friends and have a picnic or barbecue.
Market stalls line the twisting road as you walk or scooter to the temple at the top.
Nice views out over Taoyuan on clear days.

Hotou Mountain can BBQ with your friends or family. It is also a good place for climbing and breath fresh air. They are many tourists go there for climbing because they want to keep their body health and enjoy the environment in the mountain. You have to go there and enjoy it.

Living park in the weekends
May 2016 • Friends
We went here on a Saturday. There was a lot going on there. A lot of hikers, families and friends. There was a market. Some ponds. Hiking trails.
Was really cool to see al the elders still working out by hiking and doing exercises on machines. Also for children there is a cool section for them to hang out. And at some point you have a nice view of the city.
