Neighborhood: Tamsui / Bali District
The enchanting Tamsui Old Street boasts the most beautiful Fisherman’s Wharf sunset of Taiwan. There are also well-complimented delectable snacks such as Ah Gei (bean curd) and fish ball, etc. On Bali left bank, there is the Ferry Old Street and Wazihwei Nature Reserve. It is relaxing and comfortable whether by strolling or cruising through on a bike. Besides the bustling business district, Tamsui is also full of an old vintage flavor. From western architectural relics to residences dating back to Japanese rule, each with their respective features and great stories to tell. If you visit Tamsui in spring, the magnificent cherry blossoms of Tianyuan Palace are a must see. If you wish for further intimacy with nature, why not camp out for the night under the starry sky. The Bali culture park camping site offers round, transparent bubble tents. Experience the close, seamless connection to surrounding nature from within for an unforgettable memory.

The pedestrian bridge takes you from the wharf promenade to the other side of the boat harbour. It is an attractive area with beautiful views. Unfortunately about half of the cafes and food shops have closed, but hopefully for some it was a quiet weekday. The area is reached in about an hour from Taipei via Metro and Light Rail

You can reach the lover's bridge by taking a bus from the Tamsui train station. The place is very relaxing and you can ride a boat that sails under the lover's bridge. So there's this story that if you visit here with your significant other, you're gonna be together forever. So this is a must visit place for couples.

You just gonna come here when you are in dan shui esp for couples/lovers. you could either take a bus (high frequency. don't worry if you missed a bus cus the next one will come within a few minutes) or a boat to the bridge. a great place to watch sunset but i did not manage to catch it with my girlfriend due to bad weather.
watch out for your steps when crossing the bridge during rainy days as the steps could be slippery.

From Tamsui wharf, it cost NT60 one way to get to 渔人码头。You can use yr ez card. Definitely worth the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed the scenic tranquility

Lover Bridge is iconic attraction at Danshui. You can see lovely sunsets too at here , maybe the view view will be better.

I guess you need a special relationship to this bridge to like it as much as many people do. Of course it's in some kind of way "iconic" for Tamsui, because you can see it from far away, but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe it's because I've been there at daytime and it looks better illuminated? You can take some selfies while walking across it or with the love sign -- then it's time to jump back into the bus...

This bridge, affectionally named by former president, Chen Shui Bian as lover's bridge is a white cabelled pedestrian bridge which provided nice scenic view. We took the Red Bus 26 and alighted at the last stop. It was raining with strong winds but we managed to walk the entire stretch and arrived at Fisherman's wharf. Unfortunately, we didn't managed to go on a boat ride as the service was closed. We then did a coffee stop and walked back to get the red bus back to Tamsui MRT station.

Good views from the bridge or from the long pier. If you have come this far you might as well stroll across. Not a special destination to seek out

The view and wind is still great as I remembered it. Visit it during the off season and you will have better photos and less distractions.

If the couple goes together, you can get two pictures of the bridge and the sunset. There is nothing else to enjoy. There is Starbucks, but I can't be fascinated by the bad view.
