The area
Neighborhood: Tamsui / Bali District
The enchanting Tamsui Old Street boasts the most beautiful Fisherman’s Wharf sunset of Taiwan. There are also well-complimented delectable snacks such as Ah Gei (bean curd) and fish ball, etc. On Bali left bank, there is the Ferry Old Street and Wazihwei Nature Reserve. It is relaxing and comfortable whether by strolling or cruising through on a bike. Besides the bustling business district, Tamsui is also full of an old vintage flavor. From western architectural relics to residences dating back to Japanese rule, each with their respective features and great stories to tell. If you visit Tamsui in spring, the magnificent cherry blossoms of Tianyuan Palace are a must see. If you wish for further intimacy with nature, why not camp out for the night under the starry sky. The Bali culture park camping site offers round, transparent bubble tents. Experience the close, seamless connection to surrounding nature from within for an unforgettable memory.

This is the first English school established on the island of Taiwan, by a Canadian Presbyterian minister by the name of George Leslie Mackay. It is located just next to the site of Oxford College, which subsequently became Aletheia University. A quiet and tranquil site.

Bùnéng shuō de mìmì was a popular film directed and acted by Taiwanese singer Jay Chou. Jay Chou is very well-known in Taiwan, China, and other Chinese speaking country. The place was where he attended the high school, and the movie in someway is bibliographical. Jay was not very good at studying, but very good at playing piano, just like the role he played in the film.
The place seemed to be closed from tourist recently.

Respect the fact that it is not open to public tourists, need to protect privacy of students and teachers of the school. Nice stroll from the train station to the school.

This is a school, not an attraction. Although it is famous for being Jay Chou's high school (Jay Chou is the most famous singer in Taiwan. He sang with many other singers, including Lara Liang), there isn't much to see here and tourists are not allowed. I went once, but it wasn't as a tourist. I was with a friend who had studied here some years before and who wanted to meet one of her former teachers.

Before, the visitors can enter the campus freely. But now, it is unfortunately not open to public. So, you can only take pictures from outside.
