The enchanting Tamsui Old Street boasts the most beautiful Fisherman’s Wharf sunset of Taiwan. There are also well-complimented delectable snacks such as Ah Gei (bean curd) and fish ball, etc. On Bali left bank, there is the Ferry Old Street and Wazihwei Nature Reserve. It is relaxing and comfortable whether by strolling or cruising through on a bike. Besides the bustling business district, Tamsui is also full of an old vintage flavor. From western architectural relics to residences dating back to Japanese rule, each with their respective features and great stories to tell. If you visit Tamsui in spring, the magnificent cherry blossoms of Tianyuan Palace are a must see. If you wish for further intimacy with nature, why not camp out for the night under the starry sky. The Bali culture park camping site offers round, transparent bubble tents. Experience the close, seamless connection to surrounding nature from within for an unforgettable memory.

End pf the Red line
Aug 2020
The Tamshui Station is the terminus of the Xinyi-Tamshui (Red) line. It is much quicker than before to get from Taipei to Tamshui, only around to half an hour instead of half a day. It's a good looking station, by the way, expect a crowded carriage on holidays.

Top of the island, last metro stop
Feb 2020
Tamsui Metro stop is the last stop at the top of the island. The Tamsui district is quite sizable and there is considerable population in this area. The district is quite developed with many stores, buildings, roads, hotels.

Outside the metro station, there is a bus stop where buses come in and out to other parts of Tamsui. It is well organized. We took bus #26 to the Marina area where there is a beautiful marina and a pedestrian bridge called Love.

Tamsui metro station has a line of stores at the bus stop.

The station has a nice view of the ocean and the wharf next to the ocean is a long stretch of shopping, Also the famous Old Shopping street of Tamsui leads back to the metro station at one end.

Tamsui cycling
Jan 2020
Tamsui is @ the end of the MRT Red Line. It is also a great place to start a cycling journey - as I discovered. I found BL Bikeway just to the south of the station. I was able to rent a bike for a very reasonable price - including helmet & lock. Tamsui is the gateway to cycling trails along the Tamsui River. The dedicated bike lane runs 6 kms to the north on a very scenic route before turning inland. I found the path well marked and full of fascinating adventures. Indeed, it begins/ends on the Tamsui old street - which is a real gem. I took 2 1/2 hours on my journey and saw lots of history. Highly recommended way to explore Tamsui and environs.

Fast, Clean and Efficient
Oct 2019
Trains run frequently and provide excellent access to the foreshore and Tamsui Old Street for eats and shopping. This is a very popular area, especially on Sundays, so it can be crowded and the station can suffer from queues.

Last stop of red line
Jul 2019 • Solo
This is the last stop of MRT red line. Your visit to Tamsui starts here. The station itself is not something special, but in a square nearby there is an old locomotive, which recalls the past.

Design of the station is nice
Nov 2018 • Solo
Design of the station is nice. Location is beautiful. Tamsui MRT station is a metro station in New Taipei. It is the terminal station of the Tamsui–Xinyi Line(Red Line). This is the northernmost metro/railway station in Taiwan. It is a two-level elevated station with an island platform and two exits. Restrooms are available. This station is heavily used by the people mainly coming to visit the sea-side district of Tamsui. Tamsui Golden Anchor is next to the station, which is very nice place to walk around and watch the sunrise/sunset.
