It's a beautiful, peaceful and surprising spot out of expectation, especially good to take an easy walk during sunset.

Spectacular pebbled beach

We were visiting Nanfang'ao 南方奥 fishing village after reading food blogs about the food like the AhMa black sugar cake and Natural ice-cream, so we walked to the fish market and took photos of the fishing boat and decided to just walk to the beach.
Its beautiful.
But it was a hot day. Would have been better if we visited during setting sun. Saw a lot of butterflies around this sea grape tree.
I like the Neipi beach better than Toufu cape.

Went here after a long day of moving around and hiking started to rain when we got there but still a beautiful hidden spot. If you staying in the area come hang out and relax here

It might heal you if you struggle with something. Quiet and clean and has a bit black sand. Nice visit for me.

A beach like no other other, pebbles instead of sand.

If you are like me who loves the ocean and is looking for one near Taipei then this beach is your destination. It may not have white or pink or powdery sand, but the pebbles and glass pebbles make it more interesting.
We got here by taking Bus 9028 from Dapinglin Station to Suao Station, then bus GR28 from Ban Mi Qiao to Neipi Beach. Ban Mi Qiao is just a few minute walk outside Suao Station. If you're feeling adventurous, you can go down a smaller cove, 玻璃海灘 or Glass Cove, less than 1km from Neipi.
After the hot beach day, we soaked in Suao Cold Spring, about 600m outside Suao Station.

A Beautiful Beach Not to Miss
Jul 2014 • Friends
Located in Nanfangao, the Neipi Beach is one of the greatest attractions in the area that I highly recommend.

The steep beach is stony. Just a few meters away from the shore it is surprisingly deep and cold. The waves come in different sizes and are usually strong. You should be extremely careful when you dive in the water.

If you leave from Taipei, I suggest that you take #1879 of Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport either at Yuanshan Station or Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Station of the Taipei Metro and get off at the terminal stop, Nanfangao (about 1.5 hours from Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Station).

Then cross the Nanfangao Bridge and take Zaochuan Road. A few minutes past the Chessboard Cape Park, follow the sign and turn left to where the beautiful Neipi Beach lies right in front of you. Spend a couple of hours in the water and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

After that, I suggest that you take Neipi Road and get some fresh seafood in the nearby Nanning Fish Market. Visit the famous Nantian Temple and Jinan Temple along the way if you are particularly interested in the Mazu worship.

Finally, you can choose to take the same bus to return to Taipei or take #1766 of Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport across from the Jinan Temple to arrive at Luodong and enjoy an evening of delicious local cuisine at the Luodong Night Market.
